Secret Investigation.
Vernique was sneaking around the mansion today, flitting about at about 4 inches tall.

Her priority seemed to be investigating the kitchen. She looked around at everything almost as if she was cataloging it in her head. She even managed to open a few cabinets and sit on the edge of the door to look at the contents.

	Vernique sees that it's no one she was wishing to avoid in the course of this investigation. But now that he's got his back turned, she just can't help herself. He can't help but hear the conversation even a couple rooms away. Iason is about the kitchen these days almost as much as Jarvis on occasion.
He hovers into the room, at ease enough about the mansion to have mostly quit walking around for everyone else's comfort and benefit.
"Mr. Jarvis, when left to his own devices, tends to either select items from Mr. Stark's favorites, which are over in those cookbooks, as they are quite familiar by now, or when cooking either for himself or without any typical crowd to consider, tends towards English recipes. I've learned several of them, but mostly find them rather bland."

"Well, you see, I was contemplating on a little something to get Sammy for her birthday. And then when I was done with that, I was on a roll. I started wondering about other people's birthdays, and...well... Do you know when Jarvis's birthday is? I don't. I don't think he's tended to celebrate it much. And that's a darn shame, because you know whatever he gets paid can't possibly be enough for you know, being Jarvis. So logically, he should be spoiled rotten more often. My plan is to orchestrate some kind of pleasant surprise for him. Maybe for his birthday if I can figure it out, but probably Just Because. I was thinking of improving some kind of equipment in his sanctum sanctorum, but ... I've come to the conclusion it's pretty well stocked in here. So cooking may be the answer. As I'm still in the strategy-session stage, I am open to suggestions."

"Tony Stark provides Mr. Jarvis a night out with company once a year at a location of his choosing, which I believe is intended to represent his birthday. I could be wrong, but I believe that occasion tends to be celebrated in November. Cooking, while he appreciates it, is also work related. Given what he listens to very quietly when otherwise undisturbed, or in his quarters, may I suggest a selection of classical music instead? He seems very fond of Brahms. And, of course James, I'd be happy to help you learn basic culinary skills, as Jarvis helped me in the beginning."

Vernique smiled. "We should indeed. His schedules consistent enough that we'd know when we'd have the best time to set up, maybe get some annoying house-related project done while we were at it. We'll need to get other people in on this while we're still brainstorming, I think."

Pause. "Okay, I really should stop fluttering." And she comes in for a landing and starts to grow back up.

	"No difficulty, I assure you. I'm happy to help out, even if Mr. Jarvis' favored dishes are somewhat bland. Let me know if there's anything else I can help with. And James... the first necessity would be making sure we have a clean kitchen to work with. Jarvis does much of the work on his own schedule, so we'll likely need to do some dishes to make space."
