Syd wrapped her hands around the hot chocolate for warmth. How did people live in an area that got this cold?

Zoey was the proof that she did have a little blemish on her past, but she didn't care. Zoey was a great kid and Syd didn't ever regret having her.

"She adores everyone on the team," Syd said and then smiled. "She's not the only one."
