Technical Assistance
It was entirely finished except for the stupid little broken mechanism, which he certainly had no hope of fixing alone.

And so, Corey did the logical thing: he fixed up some very good homemade hamburgers.
Well-seasoned meat, juicy fresh tomatoes, and some skillet-fried potatoes on the side.

Carrying this, he went looking for Joe.

"Cool. I'll go get it. Help yourself," he adds with a grin.

Corey's soon back with another sack, which he removes to reveal an inoperative stone table fountain.

"Hmmm," Joe put the burger down. "This is good, by the way."

He took a careful look at the table fountain, giving it the critical eye of the practiced all purpose handyman. "Yeah, this shouldn't be too hard to fix."

"Thank you."

Corey beams. "Great! If any of the rock parts get in the way, just let me know."

Joe carried it over to his workbench and pulled a few small tools out of one of the drawers.

He poked at it for a moment. "Yeah. Need to get the pump out so I can look at the motor."

Corey nodded, and the stone peeled away like flower petals until the pump was completely bare.

"Thanks," Joe said. He carefully removed the pump and, using his tools, opened the casing up.

"Yup. There's a stripped bit in here..."

He opened another drawer and rummaged around in there.

"Knew I had the part for it."

"Awesome!"

Joe smiled at Corey's enthusiasm as he replaced the part carefully, checked his connections, then replaced the pump inside.

"Okay, seal it back up and we'll give it a test."

Corey sculpted the rock back around the pump carefully.

When turned on, the little fountain worked just fine. "Thanks! Think she'll like it?"

"Big time," Joe told him. "She'll love it."
