Buck knows a thing or ten about hand to hand, having to rely on that skill, since he lacks the array of powers and tools Thanos has. His move may not have worked, but he still works his way free, hitting the ground rolling out of Thanos' grip, launching a trio of diamonds at the airborne Titan.
