Toni looked under the couch, and then behind the curtains.

"Okay, girl," she said to herself, "you know Anya's here somewhere.  Not that many places to hide..."

"It wasn't that bad," she said. "My punishment didn't last that long." Daddy was pretty easy when it came to punishments. Mom was a different story. Her punishments stuck.
