Ink, Dusty Leather, and Old Trees
"Ahhh..." Vincent let out a sigh normally reserved for after a good workout, or completion of a particularly challenging bit of spellwork.

The Rare Book Division of the New York Public Library. A little island of ancient history, in a city that already pulsed with the energy of the past. He makes a lap of the room, gazing at the stacks, before he ascends the stairs to the second level. He'd make some token mention of the 'research' he was up to, to maintain protocol with the administrator, but it was a polite understanding for one of the Future Foundation's original class to come as they pleased.

Key in his possession, he opens a case, gloved hand settling on a portfolio bearing the name "John James Audubon".

"This? It's quite lovely, but it's relatively tame. You should look into tropical fish. Aquatic life is truly astounding."

"Auntie Namora always said the fish in the tropics were the most beautiful." He finally turned back to his book and started to translate sections once more.

"... this book is not what I was looking for in the least. It's... it's a low level spell book. Nothing about demons or returning them to human states at all! What a disappointment... though there is a spell to create food in here!"
