Svalin knew she'd have a hard time dealing with the events of the solstice and had avoided sleeping for a few days afterward. Even she needed to sleep at some point and she had finally drifted off. The nightmares started almost instantly. She didn't dream of dying. That never scared her. She dreamed of what happened after Nidhogg killed her.

The world burned and her son was responsible. He ruled Migard and Asgard with such brutality and such destruction. Solver stood over her while she knelt on the ground in surrender. His dual maces came up to strike her and Svalin screamed.

"Thou'rt much skilled in flattery," she said as she blushed. "Wilt thou consider sharing mine bed this eve?"

He paused then gave her a wide smile. Straightforward perhaps, but he couldn't say that was ever a bad thing in these matters. "It would be mine pleasure, milady. And hopefully thine too."

Svalin smiled and relief flooded through her. She had feared that he would refuse.

"Of that I doth hold no doubts," she said and kissed him again.

He didn't know if there were rules about this and those you were sworn to, but he reasoned that as long as it didn't negatively affect his duties, he had no reason to turn her down.

"It ist always better to be sure," he smiled, then returned the kiss, opting for actions to speak over words.

Svalin returned the kiss and wrapped her arms around him. She leaned back to lie down, pulling him on top of her. She smiled.
