The Hero-ver Part 1 - Amsterdam Morning
"Oh... oh goodness that must have been a bad idea.." Vincent Vernard wakes up on the floor of probably the best suite of an upscale hotel... somewhere. He can see the sky outside-- oh looking towards the light is a mistake. He winces and groans, facing away from the windows and trying to get the lay of where he is. He's next to a king-size bed, and can see out into a living room.

He's not alone.

He sits up and looks back onto the bed. Oh... very not alone.

	Dolemeck hopped into the back seat of the car on Vincent's side. The six foot two man was not very comfortable, either. But said nothing. He just wanted out of this nightmare. "As these Americans would say... Step on it, Vincent!" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Vincent is just going to let himself be a little bit smug about being perfectly comfortable in his new car, just for half a moment, before he checks his surroundings and grabs the gear shift.

"Buckle up."

The Lamborghini tears out of the garage, nearly running over a contingent of guardsmen headed towards it, and onto the streets of Amsterdam. Vincent is grinning from ear to ear as he drives... well, not quite recklessly, but with only just enough regard for his surroundings.

It's not the Fantasticar, but what is?

There was another scream in the backseat as Vincent just drove at top speed. Dolemeck quickly got his seat belt on, but was still hitting the glass on his side of the car every-time Vincent made a turn.

After the third time of hitting the glass, Dolemeck shook his head and was about to give Vincent a piece of his mind, when he noticed something. Rather he heard something.

"Vincent... I... I think there is something in the trunk of this car!"

"What? Hold on, just let... me...." He lets his words trail off as he sizes up a parking space. He shifts gears abruptly, and the steering wheel spins as he drifts, the car moving almost directly sideways, into a parking spot by a cafe. (Not a coffee shop. That's something entirely different in Amsterdam.

"There we go." Now that they're stopped, Vincent starts poking around the car. "Must be some clues to last night... Argo, watch your knees."

He manages to wrench open the glovebox, and a pile of papers fall out. A few stacks of bills, the deed to the car, and a number of receipts. The first one he picks up is for... a body art studio?

"...Okay, who's got extra holes and/or metal or a tattoo?" He looks around at his erstwhile comrades.

"You're not seeming especially invulnerable right now. Not with that hangover, and those bags under your eyes." Vincent retorts calmly, even though his own head is still pounding.

He looks back over the seat at Dolemeck. "Huh... well, it looks good on you at least." He looks at the money. "We need shoes. And probably more clothing." He gets out of the car and points out a local shop once he spots one.

"You said something about the trunk?"

	"I do not know... I just heard something banging about in there. And you really think this tattoo looks good on me?" He blinked, looking at his arm. 	Vincent looks between the three of them, then claps a hand on Argo's shoulder. "Even in his weakened state, I'm sure the Son of Hercules will not shirk from the unknown." He smiles disarmingly, then gives him a polite push towards the trunk, unlocking it with the keychain. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Dolemeck cringed as the trunk was open, and inside well... it made his jaw drop. There was a rather gawdy, sequined dress inside, a large make-up box... the kind that movie make-up artists would use, high heel shoes, a boa (the feathered kind), and... a live, ANGRY Peacock.

"What... the bloody... hell... ow! Ow! It's attacking me! It's attacking meeeeee!" The peacock suddenly began to peck and bite at Dolemeck.

	Once the bird was shoo'ed away from him, Dolemeck gave off a sigh of relief as he looked at his traveling companions. "I know not, Cousin Argo. I also do not know why we have so many dresses in the trunk of the car... or this box of make-up." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Maybe it was friends with the tortoise." Vincent shrugs, watching the bird strut off down the street. "We can worry about the contents of the trunk later." He shuts it unceremoniously.

"We need to garb ourselves in more appropriate clothing now. Come." He ushers them across the street to a used clothing store, cash in hand.

As if it were only seconds later, the three emerge, fashionably dressed and looking sharp. However, their moment of poise is interrupted by high-pitched squeals, as a small horde of scantily clad women appear at one end of the block and rush towards them at top speed.

	The entire group proceeds to bypass Argo, two of them actually shoving him out of their way, as they descend upon Dolemeck. "I'm so glad we found you!" "You left so fast last night after your friend won the car!" "You forgot your trophy!" They proceed to shove a trophy for 'Drag Queen of the Year - Amsterdam 2013' at Dolemeck. Dolemeck's face... turned from red to pale. He honestly had no clue what to say as he had a large trophy thrusted into his arms. He looked so nervous as all of those ladies swarmed him. he stammered for a bit, looking at the trophy, then at the women.

"T-thank you, very much?" he almost squeaked when he talked. "I umm... are you all... fans? if so... I-I am most pleased to meet you."

"I do not know, cousin Argo... but I suddenly feel accepted and... perhaps even attractive." he smiled wide, looking at the "ladies" who brought him his trophy. "I have never felt more loved, accepted, or perhaps attractive in all my life!"

Suddenly, he finds himself getting a sash put on him, along with a tiara. The sash is much like the trophy. It says "Drag Queen of the year- Amsterdam 2013".

"Have I just become royalty?"

A closer look at the throats of the throng of admirers reveals that it's a mixed bunch.

"It's... an achievement." Vincent explains. "Are you familiar with what a drag queen is? It means you were honored for... dressing most convincingly like a woman."

"And could any of you ladies help us piece together the events of last night? My friends and I are a little--- BACK TO THE CAR!" Vincent suddenly yells at Argo and Dolemeck as the royal guard appear at the end of the street.
