The Hero-ver Part 1 - Amsterdam Morning
"Oh... oh goodness that must have been a bad idea.." Vincent Vernard wakes up on the floor of probably the best suite of an upscale hotel... somewhere. He can see the sky outside-- oh looking towards the light is a mistake. He winces and groans, facing away from the windows and trying to get the lay of where he is. He's next to a king-size bed, and can see out into a living room.

He's not alone.

He sits up and looks back onto the bed. Oh... very not alone.

An instinctive response comes to Vincent as he crawls on all fours into the living room, not quite finding his feet yet. "You drank too much, you lumbering dolt!

Wait... how do I know that?" He mutters to himself, looking around the room as he uses an end table to leverage himself upright. "Oh... that's how I know that." An impressive array of bottles, of varying varieties and vintages, litter the suite.

Dolemeck ran out of the bathroom, then shutting the door behind him and panting. He was without a shirt, dressed in a pair of plaid sweat pants... and apparently had not looked at his right arm. His right arm was sporting an intricate Chinese dragon tattoo. The dragon's tail and body were wrapped from his wrist, all the way up to his arm, and the Dragon's head was on his collar bone.

"There... is a giant Tortoise... in the bathroom. There are near naked and some naked women everywhere..." He panted in complete shock. "What the bloody hell happened!? What is going on in here!?"

	Vincent peers at the figure emerging from the bathroom. "You... wait, tortoise? No... nevermind that. You're... you're from that bar in Manhattan, yes?" He turns to Argo. "I know you, but... why are you here?" A pause. "Where is here?" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Cousin... Argo? Is that you?" Dolemeck blinked a few times, and then turned to look at Vincent. "Aye, I remember you from the bar! You bought me many drinks with alcohol in them, and were most friendly to me. But other than that... I have NO clue how we got here, or WHY we are here... or WHERE the bloody fuck we are and why there is a GIANT Tortoise in the BATHROOM!"

Vincent winces at the outburst. "Please do not do that again..." He rubs his temples. "I... I need some air..." He stumbles his way to the terrace, shading his eyes from the sun.

Well, this is definitely Amsterdam. He recognizes the layout of the city. There's an excellent view, at least. He can even see the royal palace... and there's apparently some clamor going on.

He feels a chill run down his spine as he sees a group of guards start heading out, moving generally in the direction of the hotel. "...oh devel..." He swears under his breath as he hears the phone in the suite begin ringing.

	Dolemeck just looked panicked out of his mind. He could only stand there, his eyes as large as saucers as he looked over at the phone, and then everyone and everything in the room. He still had yet to realize he had a tattoo on his ENTIRE arm. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

With some measure of trepidation, Vincent picks up the phone. "Hello? ...yes. ....Yes. No, I don't think so.... Yes. I understand. Thank you."

He hangs up the phone, then turns around. "Okay, we're leaving now. I don't have all the details, but the guard from the Royal Palace is on their way here to speak with us, you in particular--" he points at Argo. "--and they don't sound happy."

He attempts to teleport them elsewhere--

--and nothing happens.

Vincent's eyes grow wide as he pales somewhat. "Oh dear..."

	"Strictly speaking, I'm sure all the princesses are too young for him, and the Netherlands has a Queen Consort, rather than a Queen, at the moment." Dolemeck tried to shadow port into one of the other rooms to go fetch Argo and Vincent some clothes, as they appeared to be blissfully unaware the two were completely naked. The moment he tried, however... nothing happened.

"Bloody hell! I cannot shadow port! This is bad... this is so bad..." He looked between the two men and then sighed. "My powers are demonic and magic based, as I was stuck in limbo for many, many years... and you two BOTH know you are in the nude, yes?"

"Oh... so we are. Excuse me." Vincent hustles into the bedroom... finds no clothes there, then checks around the rest of the suite, until he manages to make himself halfway decent. Shoes would have to be sorted later. Wallets and phones seemed to have vanished as well.

He dashes to the terrace to see the royal guard now entering the hotel. "We'll figure out the rest of his later. Right now we need to go!" He tries to usher his... companions(?) towards the door to the hall.

Dolemeck rushed, looking for his own clothes, only to start screaming about how he found lipstick on his body where there should not be lipstick... and then discovering his tattoo, which led to MORE screaming. He finally forced himself to calm down, hand sin his long black hair as he came out in a pair of Jeans and T-shirt he found in the bathroom with the giant tortoise. Sadly, he could find no shoes of any kind.

"Would they listen to us, Cousin Argo?" he was fighting to not start screaming all over again. "We have a GIANT Tortoise... in... the... bathroom. That would not look good for us!"

"We must have been to the zoo... at least that's the least damning option I can think of for where it must have come from."

Vincent hurries them out into the hallway, but as they reach the elevators, he sees them start to come up from the lobby before he'd even pressed the button. "Oh DAMN IT... stairs!" He turns around and heads for the stairs, hurtling down them as safely as he can manage.

	Dolemeck tried not to trip on his own tow feet as he rushed down the stairs, barefoot and in an utter panic. He was normally so straight laced and now... he had no clue what was going on! He could barely tell up from down at this point as he followed Argo and Vincent like some lost puppy dog. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

They can hear the distant cries of the guards breaking down a door as they hurtle down towards the lobby, having to cut through part of the kitchen to get to it (seriously, what is it with nice hotels? They assume nobody wants to take the stairs ever?). They head for the front door, only for Vincent to be waved down by a valet.

"Ah, Mister Vernard. Kept it close by, just like you asked." He holds up a set of keys. "Would you like me to send someo--"

Vincent snatches the keys as he runs by. "I'll be back with a tip later, I promise!" The trio continues heading towards the parking garage, as Vincent just mutters to himself. "I've got a car? Apparently I've got a car now..."

It takes some frantic searching of the garage, hitting the button on the keychain until the beeping leads them to.

"Oh... oh I most definitely have a car
."

"That... looks expensive." Dolemeck stared in awe at the car. his feet were already starting to hurt from not having any shoes on, but this... kinda distracted him from that. "How will Argo fit in this car. He's too... massive! and in every sense of the bloody word!"

He groaned, placing his hands over his face. "This HAS to be a nightmare. This has to be a bloody nightmare. I will wake up, Derek will be asking me what I wish to do for breakfast, go to my appointment with Doctor Samson, and then I will read my books in the living room like any other day."
