"But... I should not and cannot have those feelings towards my mentor, Sir." he looked somewhat panicked, now. "A Knight's duty was to his king, church, country, and it's people. You fought for all of that, got married to a beautiful noble or Princess if you were truly lucky, had children, and that was it. If I had a crush on my mentor... I would have been taken to the torture chamber and then killed for such an ungodly thing! It was just... wrong."
