Re: In a Hospital In Spain Somewhere...
Dolemeck suddenly bolted out of his bed, tearing some of his stitches in the process, as he slammed Derek up against the wall of his hospital room. His eyes glowing red for a brief moment as he did so.
"Listen to me, Khan, and listen well!" he hissed, looking directly at Derek. "My name was sullied over a thousand years ago. I was stripped of my title as a Knight before being sent into limbo. My nobility, my honor, all gone. So I am NOT a good Knight at all. You however, have the makings of a great leader. Leaders make tough calls all the time, some they may not be proud of. But one day, you will realize that you did make the right call on this day and feel proud of it. We prevented those swords from ending up in the hands of a madwoman. That is all that should matter!"
He then released Derek and started to head back to his bed.
"Arthur did not want to send any of his Knights to their deaths, but he knew sacrifices needed to be made for a greater good. While he may have been friends with many of us, even family to a few, he knew what was best for the kingdom. You best learn that now, before such choices hurt you in the future, young Khan." He hissed some, but ignored the torn stitches as he climbed back into his bed.
"And to be honest with you, I was hoping I would fall in battle this time, Khan. That is a selfish thing for a Knight, and why I am not a good one."
