Just some not-so-normal people in a laundromat
It was a common thing for Martin to do, teleport to a city that sounded mildly interesting and go exploring. Manny had been going with him for walks around Boston to get more used to being around people and crowds, and he tried from time to time to walk the less crowded streets himself sometimes, which was what he was up to now. Seattle had had a demon infestation apparently some time back, which meant it was a prime location for some exploring, maybe he'd even find some demons to hunt!

After walking around, hands in his pockets, on the mostly emptier streets during the day, Martin saw some crowds up ahead and frowned, slightly worried. He had no idea what the crowd, a rather small one honestly, was there for, it could've been a protest or a group going to a game of some sort, but it still made him uncomfortable. Rather than attracting attention by teleporting away in the middle of the street, Martin noticed someone exit a nearby door and he hurried in before the door could shut.

Hands still in his pockets, he surveyed the place. It was annoyingly loud, the sounds of a bunch of washing machines going at once tended to be, but it was rather empty which was good. So Martin hopped onto one of the laundromats many machines and decided to wait for the crowd outside not too far away to pass by or disperse.

Greg was just tossing a load of laundry into a machine when a guy hurried into the place. Normally Greg wouldn't notice much, but he smelled excitement or worry, it was hard to tell, coming from the guy. Was there something going on?

Noticing the guy not far away glance at him, Martin politely gave the guy a tip of his hat before taking it off and placing it beside him. He stuck his hands back in his pockets and swung his legs idly as he surveyed the place with a slight smile and curious look, now that he was indoors, the crowd didn't bother him. Though he probably stood out for being a teen, with no laundry, and looking rather dressed up, in a laundromat.

Greg wasn't a trained detective, but he didn't need to be to notice that the kid was over dressed for a laundromat and he didn't have any laundry.

"Can I help you with something?" Greg had to ask. Plenty of weird shit happened in Seattle and he didn't want to see anything happen to an innocent bystander.

Martin didn't seem to find anything too odd about his appearance and continued sitting innocently on a dryer. When Greg talks to him he looks around first, but it did seem like the guy was addressing him. "Huh? Oh. Nope. Just sitting. What're you up to?"

"Laundry," Greg replied. "It's usually why people are in a laundromat. Is something wrong that you took shelter in here?"

"Is that hard?" He asked about the laundry. He'd never done any ever, and it was probably a good thing. But he did look momentarily confused at the next question, he'd already brushed the issue from his mind for now. Out of sight and out of mind and all that. "Oh, no nothing, I just don't like crowds," Martin shrugged.

"Laundry? No. It's pretty easy," Greg said. "Is there a crowd out there?" Was something going on?

"Huh, but everyone complains about it." Martin gives the guy a look. "Yep, I said so didn't I? Don't know what it's for though," he shrugged. He tilted his head at the guy, he seemed familiar. Not like he'd met him before officially, but seen him in passing. "Have I seen you somewhere before?"

"It's easy, but not fun or exciting," Greg said. Greg shrugged. "It could be anything." He didn't really hear any big commotion, so he wasn't too concerned. "I don't think so. I do quite a bit of traveling, but I'm not famous or anything."

"Well good thing I don't do any then," he nodded. If it wasn't fun or exciting he'd prefer not to. "Oh, okay. I think I saw you somewhere then, I don't know where though. Not on TV or anything." He couldn't place the guy, there was no magic ability to him, and if he'd seen him at the Sanctum he'd remember it better. Perhaps on the street, or maybe it'd come to him later. "So what do you do then Mister? For travelling but not famous stuff I mean."

"I own a bar and I'm a musician," he said. "I travel quite a bit to different clubs around the country."

"Cool! What do you play? I don't think I know anyone who plays an instrument. And where have you gone? I've been all over," he grinned as he chattered away.

"Guitar, bass guitar, drums, piano," Greg said trying to not sound as if he were bragging. "Now you do." He smiled. "All over. There are great jazz clubs all over the country."

"That's a lot!" He adjusted his legs so he was sitting cross-legged on top of the dryer with his hat in his lap. "You're right, I do now!" Good, more interesting people he'd met to check off. "Have you been to Boston? Boston is nice." At least he thought so, for obvious reasons.

"I dunno, I'm sure you could find somewhere to play jazz stuff. Do you like New York? I like it, it's fun. Do you live here or somewhere else?" Might as well get to know this new person right? He thought so at least. And the guy seemed nice enough, perhaps he'd remember where he'd seen him from another time.

"I have a sister in LA! It's fun to visit her, and we always find something to do." Not necessarily in the city of course. "Does anything interesting happen around here?"

"You could say that," he said. "Plenty if stuff happens." Greg thought about all the things they've dealt with in the past year or so.

"Like what?" He asked, very interested. Did normalish people know about demon infestation stuff? He thought it had been in the news but then again the news might have gotten it wrong or something.

"You know, like the various crime stuff," he said. "Sometimes some protestors get a little out of hand." Greg wasn't going to tell him about the things that go bump in the night."

"That doesn't sound too fun," Martin sighed. Because protesters were exactly the things he hated dealing with.

Martin blinked. "Well yeah, we are in Seattle." He looked out the window, looked pretty quiet out there, he could probably leave soon. "Why'd you name it that?"

He put his hat back on, gave Greg a friendly wave with a gloved hand, then stuffed his hands in his pockets and walked out to see if the streets were clear.

Maybe he'd remember later where he'd seen the guy.
