It wasn't exactly a warm day outside, but it was very sunny and that's why Kal was out on a chaise on the roof. Solar energy was a great way to recharge and Kal did enjoy the quiet the roof on a chilly day. The cold didn't bother her, just the opposite. It made her feel better and think more clearly.

Her eyes were closed as she soaked up the rays.

High places had never bothered Jack so hanging out on rooftops was a given. It was also the best place to see what was going on around the city. From the roof he could take a deep breath and taste what was happening. New York was a melee of smells and sounds that he'd learned to identify over the last couple of years. Not to make it a Murdock thing, but he was sure he could operate blindfolded in the city just fine.

His favorite spot already had an occupant. He approached her on silent feet and leaned down to plant a soft kiss on her forehead.

	Kal chuckled. Her mother would do such a thing. Kal really didn't put anything past Sersi. "Are you totally joking, or do you want to consider moving in here with the crazies?" 	"I agree," she said. "Yes, we probably will have more monitoring shifts, unless we get new people." Kal didn't mind it. She didn't have to sleep. She'll probably end up taking a few extra shifts of monitoring duty just so her teammates can get a little extra sleep. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"And closer to that cookie jar." Jack didn't know what Jarvis put in the cookie recipe but the results were cookies that didn't assault his hyper senses on any level. The taste was just enough, and while he could still smell them baking two blocks away, he didn't get overwhelmed by the scents of heated sugar and chocolate, two things that quickly turned unpleasantly bitter to him.

"Besides, somebody has to make sure you at least pretend to rest," he teased gently.
