Buck finally brings the two up close, so he can whisper. "That looks like the detention level. Alice and I will drop the guards. Nikki, we're done sneaking, and Sammy will be hitting the front door to draw attention in thirty seconds. Time to blow the door. They'll have security in there. We need to take them down before anyone gets a gun to the hostages' heads. Ready?"

	In other words, shoot fast. She quickly placed two much smaller explosives vertically on the crease of the elevator door and stepped to the left of the door, her own weapon drawn and made sure Alice and Buck were in position.. "In 3....2..." BOOM. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The thousands of hours spent training all came down to these two minutes as she fired at the HYDRA agents, her eyes already focused and citing on the next target while her gun was pointed at the last, confident each shot would meet their mark before she advanced steadily, her eyes searching through the gas for Lena, for Tim and their 3rd hostage, not bothering to check for a pulse on the fallen enemy agents - she knew they were dead.

Buck grabs three throwing diamonds between his fingers, flinging all three towards the far door. The diamonds embed in the walls to either side and explode, hopefully sealing the door and buying them a little time, or at least blunting the rush of reinforcements.

As soon as that's done, he trusts the girls to handle cover fire, getting his lockpicks and trying to free the prisoners.

	The rush of reinforcements is slowed. Only a few trickled in, firing as they went. The doors to the cells that held the prisoners were solid steel and the locks were electronic. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Blowing the doors could risk the prisoners, and blowing the locks won't open the doors. Buck goes into his toolbelt, getting out a screwdriver, wire cutters and one of his electro-shock throwing diamonds. He pries the faceplate off the lock to expose wires, tries to figure out the right ones to clip to send the signal, then presses the shock diamond tip to the exposed copper, trying to simulate the correct code going in.

	There was a hiss and the lock clicked open. There was a small explosion from the door and the wreckage was cleared by the blast. Hydra agents started to come into the room. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Lena had been sitting in her holding cell, thinking about the next 'work day'. She found it was better to focus on that sort of thing, but when the noises outside started she had to wonder what was going on out there. Perhaps a jail break, if they were lucky.

She keeps clear of the door in case it comes bursting down but stands up when it opens. There's a raised eyebrow at the guy coming through the door, who she doesn't recognize. Hopefully he's SHIELD affiliated.
