The Battle of Olympus
The trail eventually led the Avengers, Future Foundation and the Defenders to the other dimensional realm that served as the home of the Greek gods. They traveled to a few realms that were home to other gods only to find them destroyed and in ruins. Olympus wasn't in ruins, but it was under attack. Battle raged all around and the skies thundered and were lit up by lightning bolts.

	Nicolai is pretty sure that he had crack a rib and was going to have a bunch of bruises and be blocked out the pain to get up and moving again. "I'll see what I can do for that," He says not all to happy about the nickname. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The blasts of light provide very brief moments of illumination, and a lot of noise. He also gets a vague impression off of Nicolai - trying to make a point to himself not to use that abbreviation again.

Secondary concern though. Hearing the movement his way, he ducks, the blast singing him a bit, but mostly going over his head as he swings, trying to bury his energy shield's edge into Grog's gut before backing away to wait for another opening, while trying to create shots for Nicolai.

	Nicolai rolls himself up and moving again. He careful picks his shots at Grog slicing at him with a blade while staying on the move. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Grog was driven back a few steps by the blow with the energy shield. He was about to step in and go for Buck when Nicolai's swipe came. The knife tore into godly flesh and Grog tried to blast Nicolai with his lance. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

There's the blast, and the heavy footfalls.

Buck lunges back in, trusting Nicolai's instincts and blind-fighting ability, while he tries to throw the attack off balance by slamming the edge of his shield into about where he thinks the back of Grog's knees should be.

Over the link, he gives Kal the best coordinates he can.

"His back is turned, unload on him. I'm going to try and get that staff away from him."

	Not even stopping after slicing at Grog Nicolai was already out of the way when he tried firing at him. Nicolai darts back in a moment later to strike back at him. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Kalypso paused a moment as she collected herself. Then she unleashed a blast with as much cosmic energy she could put into a blast. The heat and light was intense and it slammed directly into Grog. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Grog aimed another shot, but the knife sliced again. He yelled and was about to fire when the blast of cosmic energy hit. The heat was intense and the light blinded him. He was knocked off his feet by the force of it. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Knowing when that was going to happen, Buck dives for the staff within moments of Kal's blast, trying to pull it free of Grog's hand before he can recover. If he manages, he does his best to turn the god's weapon on Grog himself. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Kal's blast ended and she wobbled. The illusion of darkness disappeared and it took all Kal could do to remain standing. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Grog's lance was ripped out of his hand and he started to rise when the blast from his own lance hit. He was knocked back down and then disappeared. He wasn't going to stay around any longer. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Buck is scratched, bruised, bleeding and now burnt. The fatigue is obvious. He's also the Avengers' leader. Like Jesse Ventura, he'll find time to bleed later.

Keeping the lance for the second, he looks to the other two. "Nicolai, can you get her under cover and then relay a sitrep to me when you have a chance to look things over?" he asks, trusting in Nicolai's tactical sense to be able to assess their situation.

That said, he starts looking for the next fight.
