"I can open portals but..." He shrugs at Irina now. "I think it's better if you do it. You've got more experience with them."
He listens to Nick's plan and nods as he watches the man start tracing symbols. "I have extra kick! You just need to tell me how the ritual goes or give a run down. It works better that way." And because it was never wise just to be a magic battery for something you weren't sure of how it worked. There was responsibility attached to where your magic went and what it ended up doing.
