The Great White North
A blizzard covered northern Canada in white, but it wasn't the only thing causing problems. Alpha Flight was correct when they mentioned that the Great Beasts were in fact more than one and usually showed up at the same time.

Tanaraq left a path of destruction in his wake as he made his way toward the more populous areas.

Not too far from Taranaq, Kolomaq left a similar path of destruction in his wake.

	Tanaraq did slow down a bit. Mel's calming effect was starting to impact him. He continued to struggle to get the puny human off of him. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	He just needs to hold on a bit longer. Jordan redoubles his efforts as Tanaraq gets a hold, trusting to the science of leverage and Mel's effect to help him. Its working for now, though a constant struggle to keep cutting off the beast's air, while the calm takes hold in its brain. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	At this point, even with the grip loosening, its a struggle. This thing is strong. Certainly putting Jordan to shame, heavyweight though he can be. Just a bit longer though, he can feel the relaxing, just trying to put the beast out, cutting off oxygen a bit longer in concert with the numbing aura of calm. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Jordan is going to be plenty sore, and, rarely enough for him, utterly exhausted when this is done. He strains a bit longer, silently urging the thing to just give up and go to sleep, daring not let go until it falls - hoping for falling forward, but doubting he has that much luck. 	Jordan makes sure the best isn't struggling anymore, and lets go - likewise testing to make sure it starts breathing again. He's pretty sure they couldn't really kill one of these things for good even if they wanted to - but good to make sure. Just has to make sure its out until Lucas can make sure they stay down once beaten. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
