Putting everything in place (Nim, eventually Alpha Flight)
Korra had been doing a lot of thinking, lately. On her eighteenth birthday, she'd asked her parents to allow her to join a superhero team, to allow her to spend more time on the surface, and so she could be a hero like her cousin and older sister. Her parents agreed, under the condition that she either join Alpha Flight, with her sister, or the Avengers with her cousin, Mackenzie. Korra had given it a lot of thought, and decided on Alpha Flight, her sister's team.
Now came the hard part. Seeing if they'd actually let her on the team. Korra had butterflies in her stomach thinking about it, but she wasn't going to wait around any longer. While she was at her mother's house one day, she called her sister, Nim. She'd talk to her about coming out and at least visiting the team, first.
