Aleks has been hard at work with a lot of the preparation, wanting everything to be perfect. He knows Lena wants to help - so he's made sure to stock up on things for a salad (with garlic croutons), and asked her to bring the wine or whatever she'd like.

On the main menu is pizza. Specifically, he's worked on cooking crushed garlic into the homemade crust, and building a garlic and oil sauce - for the garlic, chicken, garlic, bacon and garlic pizza. As the time of arrival approaches, he's working on the dough, with everything else laid out neatly for when its ready.

"Oh dear, you're going to tempt me to wake up at a decent hour..." She shook her head and chuckled. "Bacon does go a long way for accomplishing that though. I think it's been years since I've had breakfast with the exception of the rare late brunch here and there...You're the diabolical one here I think." It actually didn't mean she was never needed bright and early, just that she skipped breakfast in favour of lunch or dinner and a bit more sleep since she got little as it was.

"I don't know what you're talking about. Decent hour, bah. When I don't have to work, I'm all for... well, letting you sleep in, anyway." She knows, from the fact he has to sleep in the rad chamber fairly often, he rarely sleeps more than four hours at a stretch. "Breakfast on your schedule - let you sleep til you're ready, bring you gourmet coffee and a book while I cook... ok, so maybe I'm a little diabolical. But to the end of at least talking about having you stay over, I'm ok with a little evil."

She's not that different. Five or six hours is a rare maximum for sleep for her, and usually reserved for whatever days counted as 'weekends'. "A little diabolical? That's downright evil overlord levels nearly sir. Being the resident mad scientist here...I'm okay with all of that," she grinned.

He gets a little more serious for a moment, still a bit of a smile, but... "There's breakfast making supplies in the fridge. Just let me know when you want to stay the night, and I'll keep it stocked. Ok?"

She's still smiling but it's only slightly awkward. It's not him or what he's saying just that she's always been uncomfortable with things that edge onto talking about relationship territory. It just wasn't something she did well, the talking part, and she was still unsure if him being so straightforward at times was a good or bad thing. She liked to think good, because one of them had to be better at this sort of thing.

"Deal?" She shrugs with a slight smile. "I mean...given my sleeping habits and hours at the lab, I tend to need to be convinced out."

He does his best to keep an even keel about all this, to try not to seem like he's pressuring, but... well, eventually, its good for these things to come up.

"I'm happy to do the convincing. I just want to make sure you're comfortable with things. And don't worry, whatever happens, we'll get you back to the lab. We already know each other's sleeping habits. But... good deal, yeah."

"Oh I have zero worries about me getting back to the lab. It'd be very hard for anyone to keep me from going," she laughed.

"Rather than say any of the possibly inappropriate things that first came to mind, I think I'll go check on dinner. The garlic is smelling very done."

Lena laughs. "Impressive self control there then! And it does smell lovely."

"I've very rarely been complimented on my self control, but thanks." he replies with a grin. He gets up, heading for the kitchen and getting everything out, not bothering with the oven mitts and all.

"Hope you're hungry."

"First for everything as they say," she smirks back and watches him take out the food from the oven barehanded, a little envious of that ability.

"Starving. Didn't have time for lunch."

"So, pretty normal day in the lab, then." he responds, dishing up the garlic and things accompanying garlic, you know, just for garnish.

"You catch on fast," she laughs and helps where she can for dishing. Oh she notices all that garlic. And heartily approves.

"I do my best. I spend almost as much time there as in my room, after all." The cooking is definitely catering to the tastes she made clear last time, as heavily as he could.

"Which sadly isn't all that much either," she teased. "So where do you want me to put this?"

A brow quirks. "Well, you're welcome to give me cause to spend more time in my room." he teases back. Much easier when they're teasing, as opposed to trying the serious talk thing, even if the subject is the same.

"And wherever there's room."

"Mmm, no your room has too many shared walls," she teases. Oh so much easier, she can hide behind and deal with sarcasm and teasing being serious about this sort of thing just freaks her out a touch. "The shared wall ratio is important."

"Ah, so that's the problem. Soundproofed walls, but reasonable. I do happen to know some very nice places with plenty of privacy. And kitchenettes, for that breakfast in bed promise."

"I'm a field agent. I've seen a lot of the world. Germany, Switzerland, Colorado, the Oregon coast, Hawaii, Milan, Paris... name where you might like to go, and I've probably found an excuse to go driving til I found a place I liked at some time or other."

"Now I would be impressed if you could actually drive to Switzerland and would insist on seeing the car in question that could do this. They sound like nice vacations though, you've got a lot up your sleeve for such a busy man."

"Smartass.... this would involve bring dropped off somewhere in Europe before doing the driving. My car doesn't quite have the amphibious features... yet. And, well, a lot of the world traveling came with the job. Well, the job, and growing up as a supervillain's kid."

She smirked at that. "Indeed, and oh no, not amphibious, flying cars are the way to go now. Though if you combined both that'd be ideal."

"Still working with 1970's tech in the case of my car, but I'm sure the labs could come up with something. I'd just have to get my pilot's license."
