Fortune Favors the Bold
Night was settling over the city and in S.H.I.E.L.D. Central the night shift was just coming on duty and settling in for the night. It looked like it was going to be a rather quiet night. Just like last night, the one before that, the one before that and so on.

	There were guards in the hall. One at each end of the hall and each one was holding a laser rifle. The cells in this holding facility weren't the ones that held super-powered beings. The three residents weren't super-powered and could be held here. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Emily straightened her spine and tried to look as assertive as possible as not to fall out of place with the illusion.

She was far from scared, she'd handled much more upsetting missions than a simple prisoner break, but it had been a while since she'd been out for this sort of work, and nice as everyone seemed they were not her team. James, Sam, Callum, Magni, Philomena, Mayday and Molly were like family to Emily and having grown up with them meant she knew the way they liked to run things inside and out. She would be lying to say that she didn't feel a little lost...

The guards and the containment didn't look like anything she would have to try too hard to rip apart at least...

	This gave Steve a moment's pause, torn between wanting to check on Anya and the realization that their chances got slimmer with every moment. 	Once the cell was open, Steve approached and nodded to the trooper. He hated to do this, especially if the guy wasn't compromised, but.... "Thanks, soldier," he said. Then, without any more hesitation, he delivered a right hook to the man's head, putting all his power behind it and trusting in the others to subdue the other guard. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Kal dropped the illusion. There was no sense in keeping it up at this point. Not after Steve just decked one of the guards. She put herself between Steve, Daniel and Emmy and the other guard. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Emily winced as the guard went down, then sighed as Kal stepped in front of her, hurrying to pull off her little peasant shirt and drop her skirt around her ankles. The underthings she'd worn when she ported in had been dried and put back on for this express reason. They were built to move with her.

"Just stall him for a second and I can take him." She insisted, skirt sliding off her hips.

	Iason lifts a hand and fires a blast of concussive energy at the guard, pointing the other hand at one of the cells they're trying to get into and firing another blast to quickly open the door. He moves away from Emily, positioning himself between the group and the nearest security checkpoint, since he's the most durable un til Emily changes. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Daniel pulls out some seeds from his pocket. A spell is wove over them and soon they are a withering green mass of shoots. He has a thing to throw if things get very troublesome.
