Ever since the trial, I just keep wondering who I have to be like, or not be like, and if there's anything in me besides the programming and... uh... being afraid of Kelly. There was some other stuff they talked about but I think that was what proved I'm a person.

So... like, with Martin. Can I just... I dunno, copy his or someone else's personality? And if I decide to do something different than the programming, does that mean I'm doing it just to not do what the programming tells me, or does it mean I'm doing it because I really want to?"

He lets out a heavy sigh. "Being a person is tough."
