It was a day full of meetings and scheduled phone calls. As always. Anya looked at the clock and had twenty minutes before her next meeting. Just enough time to head down to the cafeteria and grab something to eat. She was starving and needed some caffeine. She had too much blood in her caffeine stream. She hated it when that happened.

She stood up and left the office heading for the cafeteria.

	"I was going to the cafeteria for some food. I'm starving." Her stomach rumbled to emphasize the point. "Wanted as in this will be yum yum naked time, or wanted as in more work?" He opened a desk drawer, produced a peanut butter protein bar and held it out as well. "Your father called. He said it's an emergency, but your mother and little brother are safe." He nodded toward the wall screen running mute with the news of the day. "I imagine it has to do with that. I said I'd get you on the next flight out, but he told me you'd handle your own transportation."

"Finished those last night. They're all set and waiting for your final approval." He produced another protein bar for her. "I've also begun a preliminary list of gifts for your family based on what you've told me about them."

He had no idea if she was a hands-on shopper or if she had a personal shopper, but it never hurt to be thinking about the family. Family could distract a person and her schedule was far too busy for distractions.

	He smiled back. "I'll have Payroll direct deposit them before close of business today. Everyone will have them tomorrow. You better go. Your dad said it was an emergency. Let me know if you need anything. Just add it to the PDA and it'll notify me." He knew she knew it, she set it up, but he said anyway as a reminder. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
