Bea pulled a box out from under her bed, unlatched it, removed a sealed packet, and dragged herself over before tearing it open and pressing a cloth over Anya's mouth.
She managed a weak smile. "It's a healthier formula than choloroform," she explained to the boys, as if that were saying something.
