You were acting like it was the end of the world
Eir Einmyriasdottir waited until the middle of the night and almost everyone was asleep or elsewhere. She crawled out of bed and quickly dressed. In multiple layers. The winds were bitter cold and the snow was piling up. It was a winter like she had never seen in her life. The last item she put on after her fur lined boots was a fur lined cloak.

She walked over to the door and opened it a crack. The hallway was silent and she didn't hear or see anyone. She opened the door wider and darted across the hall to her sister's room. The door opened silently and she slipped into the room making sure to close the door behind her.

"Astrid," she said as she gently shook her sister awake.

	Halbjorn leaves his weapon where it is - he doesn't want to have the bloodaxe helping push him to frenzy here. Instead, he just dives at the guards nearest Svalin, giving her room to rush at their father... or maybe he's not... Halbjorn really isn't clear on any of this. But he trusts Svalin. Standing before her King...it was an honor she never thought she would receive. Except he was *not* her king, she was sure of that now as she drew her own blade. It was a good day to die - for Asgard, it was always a good day to die. Although...she certainly hoped she wouldn't as much as she hoped Svalin's tutelage would carry her through the battle as she drew her own weapon and lashed out at the nearest gaurd with a shrill battle cry.

	Thor raises the hammer, starting to call down the lightning around him - and in the flash of light, he disappears, to be replaced a moment later by a very confused looking Thundergod... Just in time for Svalin to go barreling into him. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Svalin saw the flash of light and would have pulled up, but her momentum carried her forward and she collided with her father. Thankfully she was able to reverse her swing and didn't hit her father with her sword. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Svalin recovered her feet and immediately went to a knee. "Apologies, my lord," she said. "Eir and Astrid didst come to Migard seeking our help. Mother and thee hadst been replaced with doubles. Thy double opened the Cask of Ancient Winters and plunged Asgard into the Deep Winter. We," she motioned to Hal, Aridis and Iona, "art a distraction while Asleif, Marlow and Kael recovered the Gem of Infinite Suns to counter the effects."

	She froze as the battle came to a screeching halt, her grip so tight on her sword she couldn't feel her fingers as it took her instincts a few moments to realize the fight was actually over before she quickly stepped away from the gaurd she'd been fighting, lowering her weapon. 	Aridis is just as curious as Iona when it comes to this. She really does hope this wasn't all for nothing. "Aye, as our sister says Asleif. We didst have to do as we could to draw attention to ourselves." She finds it amusing as normally she works in a more stealthy manner as a hunter. (Reply to this)(Parent)
