Fava beans, and a nice Chianti.

Bea had definitely not prepared any liver, though. Just rice and cheese and potatoes. Finally, it was all ready, and she poured the wine, plated the food, and got on the communication system. "Manny, could you meet me in the dining room, please?"

And Manny's eyes practically bulge out of their sockets. However instincts kick in to high gear and his lips move to reciprocate her action. However, no sooner had this started than the realist in him called a halt to it.

"B-Bea..I..I do..you could.." And emotions warred in him to determine which ide would get to speak.

It's only the slightest hurt microexpression when he stops it, then she listens, and takes a breath, speaking evenly.

"Okay, this conversation is going to take complete sentences, Manny. So here's the thing, if you'll do me a favor: we finish our food, and you go to your room and try to get your thoughts in order while I put the dishes away. I'll come by and we'll try to hash this out. Okay?"

Manny went back to his room, pacing like crazy back and forth. God he wanted this! But what kind of life could he give her? She wasn't proposing marriage! Bea is a great girl, there was so much more she could have! Manny's catches his image in a mirror, and just frowns before growling and punching it shattering it completely.

"Yes, I'm sure my infiltration skills and attachment to my sociopath sister will bring all the boys to the yard any minute, and I shouldn't pursue what's right in front of me," Bea begins drily, then sighs. "I'm not trying to dismiss your personal obstacles, Manny, and even if things went right, I'll be clear outright that I wouldn't want to have natural children with you, but natural chidlren aren't high on my priority list, and we'd have plenty of time to sort out the physical."
