Martin was quite happy. The chef made awesome food, he was on a great team, and Marlow had even sent a wonderful turkey illusion that had fooled some of his teammates, making the whole thing even greater.

In return he'd sent her one of his blue balls of light that'd hover near her and randomly, or on her cue, burst into sparkles like the mini firework it was, before the sparkles fell to form turkey shapes. It accomplished all the stuff he wanted: firework fun, practice of fine control, and making people notice Marlow more. Which they needed to do.

While he was regularly thankful for his magic, thanksgiving meant he could be thankful with food. And that was always better.
