At the still point of destruction, at the center of the fury
Charles Xavier, head of the Xavier Institute of Higher Learning and mentor of the X-Men, had been busy in the recent days. Together with an old friend, Erik Lehnsherr, the two of them pushed the anti-human groups into action. Attacks on humans started happening all around New York City.

In Times Square the MLF appeared and started attacking the sea of people in the "Crossroads of the World". They also targeted the nearby Police and fire stations to hinder efforts to control the chaos they were creating.

Down on Wall Street the Brotherhood started attacking the bankers and investment brokers.

Leading the attacks on humans were Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr.

Mutants attacking humans prompted responses from anti-mutant groups such as the Friends of Humanity, the Church of Purity and other pro-human groups.

The streets of New York quickly became a battleground between humans and mutants.

Simon was working when the news came up on the feed he'd set up and the first thing to do was run downstairs and find out what was going on and what the plan was. It's a whirlwind trying to figure out what people are saying, but he figures out Angelo is staying behind for guarding and the rest of them were probably going to deal with this.

Wasn't part of his job description but letting loose a little never hurt.

As soon as Gio is out of hearing range, Andrew looks to Angelo. "That's appreciated, but none of us is evacuating. First, you're going to teleport me to the city power station past the chaos. Then, you and my Aunt are going to make contact with Xavier's Academy to find out what's going on. If this is an impostor, then we need the real Xavier on the air. Even if it isn't, that's your second assignment - diplomatic damage control. Grant interviews, get on the air and condemn the attacks and highlight any mutants working against it. I'll try and make sure to do something visible."

Her father...he wasn't capable of this and no one would ever convince her otherwise...and the Professor..she'd met the man, she worked for him, his sincerity had always been his stregnth. "Charlotte," Angelo lays a hand gently on her arm. "We're each going to do everything we can to resolve this." He tries to sound reassuring. He has a task to focus on now, which makes it much easier to move past the 'if' in Andrew's statement about Xavier, and likely Magneto.

"Andrew, if you'll remain with Charlotte just a moment more..." He kisses his lady's hand, and ushers her close to ~~his hero~~ Andrew. He takes a step back and takes a moment to call to mind the power station's location, before teleporting there. He returns a few moments later, having deemed the area to be within acceptable standards. He offers Andrew his hand for the next transit.

	Andrew nods, steeling himself. "Alright, I'm going to power up, and see if I can figure out where this Magneto is. Keep an eye on Charlotte, see if you can contact the real Xavier if this is some kind of impostor. Either way, you guys need to counter some of the impression this is some kind of mass warfare."
