Brandr notices the brief exchange between the women but looks away and says nothing about it. It wasn't his to pry.
Instead he moves on and changes the subject. "Does the 'chocolate' always look like it was on Lady Iona's...pop corn?" Surely this couldn't be the delicacy Hjordis was recommending. Or at least there must be a more appetizing version.
