Sammy was on hand to represent her family, the elder Fury and the Contessa getting some much needed together time tonight. Her instructions included keeping an eye on things for a full report, making sure SHIELD wasn't embarrassed by any attending agents, and not giving away the Helicarrier in a fit of runaway charity.
Her personal instructions were to have a glass of champagne (done), and to enjoy herself (also done).
