Okay, there no sense putting this off anymore. He was going to be getting in on late admission anyway, if he went for it. Jordan had already convinced him it was the right thing to do, and he wanted to do it.

It was just going to be really hard.

"Hey, princess? You in there?" Mason knocked at her door.

Mason leans his head on her shoulder. "I'll come back here whenever I can, of course, but... it's just gonna be a big change." He groans. "And a lot of jokes about 'ey', poutine, and maple syrup."

"Nah, the whole thing with the Ducks made hockey more reasonable to them, which is really sad when you think about it, but we'll take what we can get."

He kisses her forehead. "So you're not mad? If you want to take a break, I really do understand."

Ungh. Girlfriend. Hee. :)

"Okay." He smiles, reaching for her hand for support. "Help me break the news to Alex and Mel once I confirm things with the admissions department?"

This is going to be good. He's going to be learning from some of the best minds in the field, have a whole new suite of options for ways to exercise his powers, and he'll be broadening his horizons in a new locale.

It's California. What's the worst that could happen?
