Movie Night, Aliens and Big Green Men
Movies and curled up on the couch with her daughter was a great way to spend a Saturday night in Syd's book. Dinner for Syd and Zoey consisted of pizza (cheese of course) and soda (it was a treat since they hadn't had movie night in awhile) and a huge bowl of popcorn with lots of extra butter on it.

Movie night started with Beauty and the Beast, which was Zoey's all time favorite movie, and moved on to Monsters vs. Aliens. Syd hadn't the chance to take Zoey to see it in the theater, so as soon as it came out on DVD she purchased it and they planned a movie night. It was a cute movie and Syd had the feeling they would be watching it many times in the near future since Zoey enjoyed it so much.

It was just a little past nine pm and Zoey was asleep next to Syd. Syd looked down at her daughter and smiled. Cuddling with her daughter was always a good thing. Syd was dozing as Independence Day just started.

	General Ross saw the Hulk enter the scene and he saw nothing else at that point. "Open fire on the Hulk!" he bellowed out. If the others got caught in the crossfire, oh well. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The Hulk? Oh, there were stories of the Hulk.

...he wasn't an alien in any of them. And he's a little too big to be a little green man, certainly. But perhaps Mars fashion would explain the inexplicable attraction to purple pants.

Oh, well.

Halbjorn seems to be enjoying this. And he can't really hurt the Hulk, and the Hulk can't really hurt Halbjorn, Ohu's quite sure.

He instead turns to General Ross, stepping up to him in a crisp clean military uniform, Captain's rank.

"Sir?" he asks.

	Halbjorn doesn't tear so easily, fighting back, and catching the Hulk's hands in his own. He's pushed backwards, but growing stronger by the second as the intensity of the struggle builds. This is fantastic. He slams his head into the Hulk's as they struggle. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Halbjorn drops to a knee, shaken by this new assault, but the groundquake also opens up plenty of cracks in the rocky desert real estate. Halbjorn tears up a chunk of rock large enough to need its own zip code, lobbing it at the Hulk. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Hulk is not expecting the hit to be so brutal. He flies back the distance of his own ZIP code. Ross should know this isn't going to last. The berserker may have bought himself 20 seconds, tops. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The berserker doesn't want a break. This is Halbjorn's religion, his passion, his life. To find the greatest foes and threats to the nine worlds and pit his strength against them til one or another falls. His siblings are warriors of the realm and children of Thor. Their courage is not ever in question. Battle is their way of life, like so many Asgardians.
For Halbjorn, war is life. Every waking moment is a celebration of past victories or preparation for the next, until he finds a foe stronger than him. And like the Hulk, now, he is lost to that thrill that he has found a foe worthy of his strength, and he will fight until they are stopped, or one or the other is dead.

In other words, right now, Halbjorn is no longer home. Words no longer reach his brain and retreat isn't an option, there is only forward, relentlessly back at the Hulk.

	There's only one problem that the beserker won't notice, but that his sisters will. As this fight continues, it threaten mortal lives and with that the good will of their hosts on Earth which they must maintain in order to stay on Earth and the mission assigned to them by the All-Father.
