Study Break
Antoinette "Toni" Rhodes was officially feeling brain dead as she headed into the kitchen of Avengers mansion. Finals were coming up in just a few days and, as far as she was concerned, she would be lucky to pass. Her grades were usually decent, above average to be sure, but nothing stellar, except for auto-shop class. And even that was more do to a secret application of her mutant abilities--the ability to reshape the elements of technology combined with a certain amount of technological intuition--than anything else.

History? Maybe she'd do okay there. Just dates and stuff to memorize. English? She'd probably scrape by, her writing skills were decent enough and she'd passed the tests on most of what they've read, except for Shakespeare. Auto-shop? That she'd pass. Science and math? Well...

She pulled open the fridge and stared at the inside, trying to figure out if anything looked edible.

Iason hears rustling around in the kitchen. Since he knows where most of the people he recognizes right off-hand are, he heads down from the TV lounge to see if, by some small chance, if it might be Jarvis making cookies. (Not having to worry about watching one's figure could be a great thing around here)
He quickly recognizes that that's distinctly not Jarvis' footfall pattern or weight, and then not his smell, but by then, he's up and curious about this person he hasn't met, stepping into the doorway audibly enough to try not to sneak up on anyone. "Oh, hey."

	Toni had just decided on a bowl of fruit salad when someone spoke to her. She pulled herself out of the fridge and to face the --shirtless!--person talking to her. He considers that, then nods. "Her lab is really impressive. I haven't seen it, but coming out of there, she smells like additives and compounds usually present only around starfaring races, not Earth. And I know she's built her own artificial intelligence. I can see the need for math skills. I'm not that familiar with algebra, I'm afraid, but if you ever need help with astrophysics or astro-navigation, let me know. As for your father... I'm trying to place the name. He's an Avenger as well?"
