An OUTRAGEOUS Revelation!
Irina having dropped him off, Argo felt the need to visit his friends and fellow gods of the Defenders. It had already been a good time since his return to the mortal realm (though he had been unusually quiet in discussing what, exactly, had caused him to leave Olympus). He had drank many beers, he had told many stories, and he had been with many women.

Some of the fangirls had been rather enthusiastic about his return.

But for now, he wished to see his other friends. He'd heard there had been a baby born while he was gone. To Svalin, no less! He'd thought her only slightly less frigid than Asleif, unable to be warmed even by the Lion Cub of Olympus. Who could have reached her so? His helm was off to such a master of woo, whomever he may be.

He rang the bell.

"I have," Kael admitted. "but it's expected of me. I..I value my companions, but it galls me that I have to be away from home."

"There is a schism among my people between those who follow my mother and those who follow Malekith. She requested I remain with the Defenders until the situation was stabilized," he explained. "With everything happening, I don't know when that will be."

Kael chuckled warmly. "Yes, that sounds like her, though Mother will be the first to point out she's no saint. She told me she wanted to break the cycle of war in a way that would be acceptable to our people without us having to sacrifice more of our young people against the Aesir. Hence the plan to bring 'Thor' into a marriage that would legally bring us a more equal union with Asgard." He sighs, resting his head back against the wall. "She never denied the facts of what happened."

"She's still trying to keep us from getting ourselves killed..or killing each other."

A derisive sound comes from Kael. "They claim morality when the first thing Odin does upon ascending to Asgard's throne is to wage war on the other races of the Nine Worlds for the sake of 'protection'. There was never any bloodfeuds before the day he invaded.." Kael stopped. "And I've gone on, what does Lady Vernique call them? A tangent?"

"It does have a rustic charm to it," Kael admitted.

Kael shakes his head lightly. "No, it's merely an aggravation of an old nuisance. Empowered humans attacked Lady Vernique and I while she was searching for shoes for Prince Solver. I told her to get the babe to safety while I stayed behind to keep them from pursuing her. During the fight, I was struck by one whose fists were like stone, repeatedly. The healer says I had an..aneurysm I believe she called it."
