"I'm so sorry, Mikhail," Natasha said as she held her son. "You should never have to go through this."
She wiped the tears on her cheeks away with a back of a hand. "I'm so sorry," she repeated and then kissed the top of his head.
Going inside was something she didn't want to do anytime soon, but the tranq would only last so long. She had to get him where they could restrain him if needed.
Carefully she laid her son on the ground and stood up. Taking a deep breath, she picked him up, cradling him against her chest. She started walking toward the mansion.
