Attack On New York
Hadelinde was a bit shocked when a future kid, hers no less, showed up and told her of the bleak future. In the future she was in prison as was most of the criminal world. The Avengers had brought peace to the world and there wasn't a place in that world for her or her kind. The main driving force was a future Avenger called Solver Svalinsson, now an infant.

That couldn't stand. The future could not play out that way. She would make sure of it. The Avengers would not win, not as long as she was alive. She had to do something now to prevent that future.

The meteor that had fallen in Texas was the key to changing the future. Her son had mentioned the strange properties to her. In his past the Avengers had disposed of it by flinging it into the sun. Hadelinde had changed that by having her Masters of Evil steal it out from under the Avengers.

It had taken time and the lives of some test subjects, but in the end they had been able to harness the mutating radiation from the rock and get the results they desired. Each of the Masters of Evil's abilities were boosted to higher levels in addition to creating some very strong, almost indestructible mutates. It was time to test the mutates' abilities against the Avengers.

If this test went well, then they could produce an army.

Hadelinde had the mutates teleported to the middle of Central Park. She and the Masters of Evil would be nearby to watch.

	The flare did blind Hadelinde and she unleashed a wild blast of energy to fend off any attacks. She flew straight up to about twenty feet off the ground until her system reset. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Ok, time to think like a strategist. His stunners and other light weapons aren't going to do a thing to her in the armor. She has air superiority, and isn't going to let him drive her off with the same trick twice. He's the superior combatant, but her automated systems and vastly superior strength make up for the difference and then some - especially with whatever is boosting her speed.

So he needs to take some of her advantages away. He takes the time while she's recovering to try and line up a shot, taking careful aim and trying to hit one of her boot jets with a nitric acid grenade. He's pretty sure its not going to do a lot to the armor itself, and knows the boots are more stabilizers than main propulsion - which is the point. If he can damage the jet mechanism, he might be able to make it a bit harder to steer, anyway. If he can slow her down, he has a chance.

	The grenade hit and acid splashed over the armor. It didn't do any damage to the outside of the armor, but it did seep into the cracks and joints. The stabilizer started to sputter. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	As soon as that hits, he heads straight for cover, as far to one side of her as he can. Its still a mismatch, but he can hope to outthink her - starting with trying to keep her moving and turning so he can get an idea what effect that had until he can come up with his next move. 	Hadelinde stabilized her flight and was not happy about this. She touched down on the ground. It was safer to be on terra firma unless necessary. She scanned the area to see where he went to. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	He tosses a flash-bang off into some bushes to her right, trying to get her to turn around while she doesn't know where he is, then tries to come in at her exposed side, palming another weapon as he goes. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

He rolls with the impact, but can still feel something cracking under the impact, and feel flesh searing. Trying to get out of his top is going to require a lot of care with armor burnt to it. Still, he manages to come away alive and with all limbs still attached, and a new respect for her wits.

That definitely breaks his momentum, and puts him back on the defensive.

	He dives forward under the blast and rolls, trying to come up close to her. As he comes up, he flings an explosive with each hand. He's pretty sure they won't do much, but they might draw her attention and get a reaction. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Oh man, this is going to hurt. He sees the direction she's moving, part of the point of the explosives - and lunges at her, trying to mvoe to hand to hand range, making an effort to get hold of an arm to try and make up for the strength difference with superior skill and a little judo. 	Hadelinde turned to see the new comer and that's when Rogers grabbed her arm. The distraction cost her, but she would deal with it. She sent a charge along the surface of her armor to shock him. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

He knows better than to be too optimistic about EMP shielding. Even so, it might slow her down. The electrical pulse, on the other hand, creates a problem. Due to the nature of electricity, he can't let go easily, and is just glad he hadn't completed the next part of his plan yet.

Feeling his left arm going numb, which somehow doesn't kill the feel of burnt fingers any, he jerks back and away, forcing his hand free. He needs to hope the newcomer can distract her and reassess. This one will hurt for a while.

	Hadelinde's armor was shield, but her systems flickered for a few seconds. It was enough to allow Rogers to release her arm. Rogers wasn't the biggest threat right now. The other armored figure was. She raised an arm and fired. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Bobby saw the shot coming and didn't make a move. The blast came at him and slammed into a force field. "You need to try better than that, lady." He rocketed toward her and one of his gauntlets melted back to reveal his bare hand. All he had to do was touch her armor for a second. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Buck takes the opportunity and distraction to draw out another of his throwing weapons, trying to jam it into one of the chinks in the armor and crack the casing. Normally he only uses these for demolitions - plastiques aren't good field weapons, but with all the electricity flying around, he hopes it'll do some structural damage, now that the casing is broken and the plastique exposed.

When and if he can get it in place, he makes as if he's going for the grapple again, then just ducks back, hoping she'll make the same response.

	Bobby reached Hadelinde and touched her armor with his bare hand. Three seconds was all that he needed to be able to control the armor system. He started shutting it down. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Buck goes diving, being thrown by the shockwave. What it took to put a hole in that level of armor is plenty to send him flying. "ow." He really hopes that buys that other guy enough time and malfunctions in Hadelinde's system to do what he needs, because Buck is struggling to move about now. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
