Kayura's actions cause him to let go..and then Grogg nails him, sending the armored figure flying. Shinobu crashed to the ground, but the magic of the armor kept him conscious.

"Damn monster! I'll..ahh!" He screamed as a new compulsion overtook him. Forget them, find my essence. He suddenly felt himself drawn to a new location and took off, propelling himself with jets of flame from his boots.
