The Serpent Awakes
Kazama Goda, foreman of the construction crew, oversaw the removal of the debris left in the wake of the dragon attack. All the damn monsters..he was seriously considering moving. Maybe to South Korea, he had family there on his uncle's side,

"Goda-san, you've got to see this!"

"What is it?" Goda asked, annoyed.

"I don't know, I think it's a dinosaur fossil!"

Officially intrigued, Kazuma went over to where it looked like a partially unburied, reptilian skull.

"Kami," he gasped, moving toward it.The attack must have uncovered it. It was magnificient, he thought, mesmerized and moving toward it.

"Goda-san?" one of the workers called.

He didn't hear it. He reached out and touched the skull..and Kazuma Goda vanished in a wave of primal power. A burst of energy enveloped the body, practically exploding with raw energy. It mutated and shifted, scales forming and muscles shifting as the body transformed in mid-air. Some of the workers fled, others seemed transfixed by what was happening. Finally it stopped as he majestically floated back to the ground, eyes closed.

"Kazuma?" One of the braver workers asked.

The eyes opened, yellow with slitted pupils.

"No," and a burst of lightning sends the man flying into a group of his colleagues. "Finally...flesh..blood. It is not much, but it is a start." He turns in the direction of a strong pulse. "Yes, merely the beginning." And he casually walks in the direction of the signal, energy crackling the ground as his feet touched.

	Orochi walks out of the ruins of the entrance, warily eyeing the assembled BH6. He gives a nod of his head to Hajime. When the final second ends, Orochi brings his hands together hard, creating a massive sound-wave. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Amiko had figured. When the sonic attack hits, she rolls without it acrobatically, tumbling hand over heels away, then tossing out a few very hot fletchettes to get his attention, along with what she's trusting the others charged with getting his attention to do. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	For its part in being an appealing target, Clockwork draws earth, stone, and plants into its form once again. It doesn't become the towering giant that attacked Kyoto, but he looms large over Orochi as he swings an arm at him, even as the sound-wave crumbles some of the form away. 	With no particular protections from such things, aside from reflex, Hajime is left diving and rolling out of the way, a bit hard of hearing and scratched up from the extra impact. He comes up from the roll a bit out of the way, watching the scene for openings and trying to not make himself too immediately obvious or threatening. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The sonic attack rattles Grogg, but he'd planted his feet and was but pushed back. He spoke not a word, but instead drew in a great breath... and exhaled a mighty blast of atomic fire. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Kayura waited until right after the blast of fire from Grogg. Then she moved to try and flank Orochi. She wanted to be sure at least one of them could really hit him. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The blades connect, but they bounce off the hardened, scaled-skin. Still, the burns hurt, causing the serpent to look toward Amiko. However Clockwork's blow came down. Orochi brought both hands up, catching the fist in his hands, though the force still caused a small crater to form under Orochi's feet. He sees Grogg's fire and twin beams of blue light fly from his eyes, connecting with the flame, causing a vast amount of steam to be produced from the connection. With the flame doused, he opens his mouth to send another fireball at the newly grown plant matter.

Out of the field of vision, Hajime trusts his allies to do their jobs. In a battle of gods and monsters - what is one man with a sword to do? He bought them time, at least.

For the moment, he kneels, closing his eyes, trusting to fate, and praying to his ancestors, asking for guidance and the right moment, if it should come.

He may respect this foe more than most, but he has no intention of letting it take the Earth.

	Grogg cut the blast of atomic breath when the bad guy countered it with his beams. He was stronger than Grogg thought! He let out a bellow and withdrew into his shell, flying toward Orchi like a missile. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Clockwork works as best he can to take in more plant matter and debris as mass is burnt away, trying to fill up as much of Orochi's field of vision as possible as he swings another blow. However, he has a more subtle plan as well. The earth shifts gently near Hajime's feet, until a few chunks of rock salt are pushed up. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Salt... used in the rituals to banish and bind evil spirits. Precious in his time, commonplace now, its other uses forgotten.

Hajime is no ritualist or priest, but still knows this much. Taking his time to do it properly, thanking the kami and his ancestors - he'll thank Clockwork later - and careful with the blade, he begins to apply the salt over the Masamune blade.

	In preparation for Clockwork's next blow, Orochi's hand glow green, the merely touch of them would be corrosive. However Grogg's sudden attack forces Orochi to change targets and the acidic hands come to block Grogg. However Orochi is nowhere near as strong as he was, and as he tried to halt Grogg, Orochi's feet tore up the pavement. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Clockwork can only happily oblige, although it briefly wonders if the sensation it is experiencing is what humans would call 'fury'. It will merit investigation later.

'Augmenting.'

While Orochi grapples with Grogg, Clockwork discards most of the extra material, (much of it already disintegrating from Orchi's tricks), instead bringing up iron ore from the ground and amassing it around one fist. The rough orb suddenly contracts, hardening into a durable wicked-looking war-club. As quickly as possible, it slams the club into the ground, and brings it back up, now flecked with small pieces of salt. It swings savagely at Orochi.

	Keiji had been moving in the shadows to strike at Orochi, but he couldn't ignore Grogg's sudden situation. With Clockwor's attacks keeping the monster busy, he moves to Grogg, trying to help the kaiju up. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Clockwork gets the first strike in, rocking the serpent, leaving a sizable welt and cracked scales on his face. He hisses, opening his mouth, and a cloud of green mist came from his mouth, decaying anything it touches. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Hajime believes he sees his opening. He's learned the creature isn't at full power - and thanks to teamwork, he has his Masamune blade coated with salt, a common substance for use in dealing with evil spirits. When Orochi opens his mouth, as he's in the midst of spewing the mist forward, Hajime comes in from the side, striking for the neck. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Sempai! Posion!" How Kayura knew that? It was possibly the armor but she moves fast. Faster than Hajime has seen her move before or even Keiji who has seen her in the heat of battle. And she strikes widely ride towards the mouth knowing that even if she hits she may do nothing. She just has to draw the poison to her. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	And Orochi howls as Kayura's blade cuts into his exposed mouth. While not familiar with a human body, Orochi immediately goes to cover the wounds, staggering back. In his rage and pain, the poisonous gas is not spreading. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Hajime hisses as Kayura takes the attack. He was aware of the poison - that was the point. He knew right where the Orochi would be for that split second - and he was coming in from the side for just that reason. Ducking low when the creature's hands come up, he tries to shift to take an attack towards the back of the neck before the opportunity is missed entirely. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
