He'd rounded up the gang. 2500 was ready and everything. Now just came the doing it by the book.

"Alright, one Gideon and co. down for 3:00 pm. We'll see you then," he says as secretary-like as he can. "What should I say your business is exactly?" Because really you needed a reason to ask for an appointment, not that that had stopped people before. Anti-mutant idiots, those were the annoying calls.

That gets an eye roll. National security. That's what they all said.

Hanging up the phone and taking off the headphones he had connected to it, Simon goes off to tell Gio about the appointment. Just because it was entered into Andrew's schedule didn't guarantee anything. Gio was the safest way of making sure any appointments you put into that were noticed.

Gio was coming out of the kitchen with an apple. She quickly stopped herself from taking a bite, so she could enunciate. "Hello, Simon. What's up?"

Gio's eyes widen. "Gideon Moreau is coming here? Today?" She almost snaps at him for not holding him off, giving her more warning, but right. Relatively recent immigrant to their country. The name Moreau didn't reach in and grab him by the socks the way it did many Genoshans, much less expose any of it's more....problematic sides.

"I have to talk to Andrew. Thanks." And in a flash, she's materializing beside Andrew's desk.

Father would have /mentioned/ if he'd left home noticeably." Pause. "And I'm not trying to say you shouldn't meet with someone because his father was scum. I'm just... concerned."

Andrew considers this a moment, then nods firmly. "Good. I'd prefer Gideon think he has an advantage because he has some way of getting to us we don't know about. That this is the first we've heard about it means that he isn't trying to cause a stir here and ruin our work so far first. He wants us to see 'reason', I would guess. Far better that than some of the things he could have done. Please have Angelo select an appropriate menu and background. Genoshan seafood, music, the rest. I'd like our guests to feel as at home as possible, instead of giving them anything to attack how american we've become."

Andrew nods. "I don't expect violence, but if we can find a way to keep something able to give off a shock nearby, that would be good. I don't want you hovering - much as there is a risk, I don't want to suggest to them they're anything but welcome countrymen. He'll want to provoke us if he gets upset, not be seen as the one starting trouble. So we remove any chances he has - record everything, and make sure that if trouble starts, he's clearly the one starting it."

He nods. He's always done best under some pressure. This is not pleasant news, but he'll prepare for it, and do his best to make sure he's ready for this, trusting Gio to handle the others.

Taken aback, he just blinks in confusion. Was he not supposed to give the guy an appointment? Really, if they expected that then they should give the guy manning the phones a list of people to tell to fuck off. Simon refrains from growling some sarcastic response, but she's off before he really needs to.

"You'd think they'd tell a guy these sorts of things," he grumbled.

Only hearing the second part he continues, "Some Moreau guy wanted an appointment with Andrew today. I gave him the 3pm one and Gio went into panic mode."

"I really need to look into getting a blacklist made. Screening anti-mutant idiots is annoying enough as is."

"Moreau?" Sengai gasped. he wasn't Genoshan, but he'd done enough reading to know the importance of the name. "That is a very important and divisive name in Genoshan society. It's produced both heroes and monsters."
