It had been slow going, even with numerous volunteers, rescue services, and Flights Alpha and Beta. But they had found a total of fifteen survivors. From a town that had been close to 1500.
The death toll was something Nim could barely get her brain behind.
She paused in her digging through the rubble of a building that had collapsed. She tapped her comm. "I think I've found another survivor," she said. "But the area's really unstable."
