Magic in the Mob
Keiji had started doing phone watch for the BH6 recently when the phone-call. They needed a mystic's opinion on a triple homicide and had apparently heard of Kayura. Keiji took the details down and quickly made a call to Kayura.

	He pats her once on the shoulder comfortingly before showing her over. There were three bodies, all men dressed in fancy suits. At first it may not seem so bad since they were intact, but all three looked mummified. Also, all three had sword wounds. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Oddly the fact they looked mummified helps. She moves closer and pulls on a surgical mask and gloves so she doesn't mess anything up. Then leans in close taking a close look at the bodies and the wounds.

She already can tell that the blade is about the same size and length as the one she uses or a little longer. Older make so probably older.

And she's trying to 'detect evil' because she has a bad feeling in her gut.

"This.... this is not good," she mutters. "The angle of the cut hints at it being at the most a daitō. It takes skill to swing this effectively to get strokes quite like this.... That is not what concerns me."

She straightens and steps back. "The wounds feel wrong to me, Keiji-san. Fundamentally wrong. Whatever weapon was used was on a very basic level evil<. And I believe it was a souleater due to the condition of the bodies. These are both rare and dangerous weapons."

	"Is there any way we can confirm that," she asks after a moment. "I do not wish to place you in danger but that sword is... is... If this is what being near the wounds left over feels like I..." She look pensive now.

"I need to find out if it was stolen then or 'on loan'." She gives him an apologetic look. "My armor sometimes compels me to hunt supernatural evil. Keiji," she explains in a low tone so that they are not over heard.

"If I am.... compelled I do not wish to rush in foolishly and I am aware the police may not be able to fight a souleater sword in the hands of a criminal."

	"I understand Kayura." he sighed, hopefully Amiko would not be too upset by what he was about to do. He takes out his phone and dials in a number. "Yes, this is Lord Deathstrike. Tell Hidetake-sama I'm calling in his debt to me. I have a friend who needs to speak to him." Silence for a time. "Very well." He turns to Kayura. "He'll speak to you." And it's not long before a limousine pulls up in front of the shop. The driver gets out and opens the door. A large man, built like a small wall, climbs out of the car. he was immaculately dressed in a business suit tailored to his body. He walks forward, smiling cordially at the servers as he approaches the table.

"Deathstrike-sama." He greets with a slight bow.

"Hidetaka-sama," Keiji replies back. One wouldn't know that the man before them had contributed soldiers to the effort to kill Keiji months ago.

"You must be Ms. Yagyu. A pleasure," he extends a massive paw of a hand to her.

	"Hai," she greets with a polite smile and shakes the offered hand. She must look so tiny compared to him. "Did K." She pauses and decides to go with it. "Did Deathstrike-sempai explain why I must speak with you," she begins looking the picture of a polite college student. Except for of course the security badge hanging in plain sight. She relaxes because at least she needs not worry.

"I believe that it is a daitō souleater?" She looks very serious. "Do you know anything of it's history?"

She pauses then grimaces. "If I know more then it may be easier to track down who has it. They have used it recently and I cannot allow them to continue to."

Her armor is nearly buzzing in her ears over this. She thinks she may have to have Keiji do this though if it is as bad as she suspects.

The server brings him his tea, and Takanobu takes a sip before answering. "It's called Life Drinker. I acquired it four years ago. I studied it's history and decided it was not worth using myself giving the risks. So instead I kept it as part of my collection. I ordered that none of my men were to use it."

He takes another sip. "Recently I was approached by the daughter of a former business associate, a Miss Ginchiyo Kurada. Apparently she knew something of the sword's powers and wished to purchase it. I warned her of its potential side-effects, but she didn't care. So in the end I accepted a substantial payment and gave it to her. Frankly I was happy to be rid of the damned thing."

"That was wise. Such a weapon can easily be turned against the one who uses it," she comments. She listens calmly to his explanation of what happened to the sword.

"Then I believe her capable of using the sword herself. Which is a shame but not unexpected." She knows with the name of the sword she can get the history of it. She will be forced to track the young woman down or allow the police to handle this. She isn't sure she could let the police put themselves in such danger, she still recalls that ghost of the young Captain from long ago.

"Thank you for your help, Hidetaka-san. You may have helped save many lives with this information."

"My advice would be to check into the Goro Family. They are her family's main rivals in the area. If they fall, the Kuradas would control the whole territory."

He finishes his drink. "You're welcome, Kayura-san." He stands up and looks over at Keiji. "Things are even between us now."

"I'm aware, and I'll be ready."

Hidetaka nods, indicating to his men that they were leaving.

	Kayura will wait until they are alone before she stops looking quite so formal. "This is bad. If she really is clearing out the Giro family... it's going to end in a gang war of some kind, isn't it?" She shakes her head. "I'm not sure how to proceed here, Keiji.
