Frustrations
One would find it unusual to see Fred sitting in the living room of the institute. They would likely find it even more so that the lights weren't even turned on. He was just sitting in the dark doing..nothing.

	He grumbles before removing the blanket and placing the limb in her hand. The finger were longer, thinner, and topped by long nails, curved at the top. In effect, his hand now more closely resembled a sloth's. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"It is..fairly new. So yes, it does hurt a little. It takes time for new musculature to adapt to the main body." He swallows once. "It happened during the night. I was upset..I will have to find a way to pay for some of Uncle's equipment." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"This particular mutation happened once before, but went away after a week. However, that is no indication that it will be the same this time. It could go away..it may not." He tries to remain composed, though he's starting to sweat a little from strain. "I appreciate your offer, Sasha. Honestly I do, but..I need to clean it up. My work was safe, but I made quite a mess down there."

"Fred, that's why I'm offering to help. I'm sure if Sylvie had popped in here first, she'd do the same. That's what people who care about each other do, sweetie. You need help, we offer it. Mostly whether you want it or not," she grinned, trying to calm him somewhat. "I'll help you clean it up, then if you don't mind a dumb blonde around, I'll do what your hand can't."

"Whoa, whoa, don't get upset." She suddenly had an epiphany as to why he was working on stabilizing the mutant gene. Coming over, she gently touched his arm, stroking her fingers lightly down it as she looked up at him. "It will go away or it won't. It doesn't change you, Fred. You've become the czar of adapting to your changes; something I'm kind of impressed by. I don't think I'd handle it nearly as well as you do."
