Ambush! (open to Hal)
Svalin stood off to one side and watched the actors and actresses move around the set. Her brother was filming a new movie...He-Man or something like that and Svalin was taking a break from her consulting work on fight choreography to watch. The studio had taken her on as a special consultant when it came to choreographing fight scenes. It wasn't real battle, but it kept her in practice and she liked teaching people how to properly use a sword.

This was the tenth time they were doing this scene and Svalin thought about wandering over to the table of food soon.

"Pfft, one of the so-called gods," Conquest brings a blade around in an expert parry. "Your claims of divinity is an insult."

Hal seems a bit surprised by the parry, though it quickly turns into a grin.

"A warrior's training? Good. Because if thou'rt questioning the gods themselves, thy mettle wilt be sore tested." he replies, swinging again, testing his foe's strength and reflexes.

Conquest doesn't have Hal's strength, but he does know a variety of techniques to counter those stronger than himself. He spins causing Hal's blade to shift slightly to the side of him, using the momentum to turn it rather than sheer force. "Humanity has long since ceased needing pagan gods."

"Asgard yet stands between this world and great evils beyond mortal ken. We require not thy worship, but thou need the gods a time longer." he replies, enjoying this contest and his opponent's skill far more than he probably should.

The axe is turned away, he releases one hand from it to swing a backhand, trying to catch his foe off guard.

"I doubt it. Humans have quite the imagination." Conquest sees the backhand coming and shifts into a bend from an Asian fighting art, spins and goes for a kick to the back of Hal's legs.

He was off balance from his own swing, so the kick takes his legs out, and Halbjorn hits the ground hard. Its only a moment before he's rolling back to his feet, but its a moment he's not on the offensive.

"Aye, their movies art quite entertaining." he agrees.

Omar tries to take advantage of the fall by taking a swing down with his sword at Halbjorn's. He misses, but instead pulls out a pair of shruiken and flings them at Halbjorn. "I can't say I'm a fan of Western cinema."

Parrying the blade leaves him wide open to the shuriken. They don't bury themselves very deep, but enough to draw a trickle of blood. The bear-sark tenses, drawing in the scent of it, the grin still there, but growing a little less human.

"First the gods, and now movies? Ist there aught thou dost like?" he asks, as he lowers his shoulder and rushes to close the gap, lacking missiles of his own.

Omar hadn't expected the charge. He falls back, but rolls backwards to regain his footing. He abandons the sword to pull out a pair of pistols. "An interesting question." And then he fires.

The grin grows more savage still as he's shot, the bullets striking, but seeming to do little damage to the dense Asgardian flesh - but what had once been an entertaining contest has been sullied.

In response, since the guy is keeping his distance, he tears up a large section of the set, and lobs it. No words this time.

No words suited Omar just fine. He dives quickly out of the way of the flying piece of set. He grabs a grenade from his belt and throws it at the roof above Haljborn.

The roof comes down on top of Halbjorn with a crash, burying him for a few moments. Then the pile shifts, rubble flying all directions. With a loud snarl, he turns his attention on trying to figure out where his opponent went.

Exchanging his broadsword for a pair of katanas, Omar rushed in from the back and spun in two slices, one up and the other down at Haljborn.

He sees the flash of movement just in time, and rushes right into it, willing to take a blow to try and get one of his own in, the arm coming at Conquest taking two bloody gashes as he swings hard.

Conquest hadn't expected that and the blow rings against his armor, sending him back. The blow hurt and he likely suffered some internal damage. He tries to test his speed, but he stumbles a little from the blow. He tosses another grenade at Halbjorn, and moving to try to regain his bearings.

Its hard to tell what affect the grenade might have had or not had - because the floor gives way under the explosion, dropping the bear-sark into the basement.
Conquest can already hear movement down there, but he has an unconscious ally, and a clear path if he wishes to cut out now.

He notes Decay's situation and curses in annoyance. "Another time, godling." Conquest races over to pick up Decay and get out of there.
