Marcus Bowman was originally from the United States. There he had left a trail of death behind him, successfully leaving the country before any hint of a clue could be traced back to him. He made his new home in Japan, continuing where he left off, except this time he wasn't as lucky as before. He was tracked down and captured by a young up-and-coming member of Japanese intelligence. He was tried and deemed to be insane. A sociopath with strong nihilistic tendencies with a sado-masochistic streak, he was sentenced to life in the city's most secure insane asylum. However, no matter what methods were used, no one could get him to reveal what he had done with his victims..until now.

Bowman was strapped to the chair in the interrogation room by his arms and legs. Even so, the guards seemed tentative to go near him. Even the most hardened and insane of the asylum gave Bowman a wide berth. Being a gaijin had instantly made him a target by the prison population. In fact, the staff encouraged violence against him as a means to get him to tell them the location of the bodies. ..it didn't work. Several of said prisoners ended up in the emergency wards..one without his nose... Frankly, the man gave off an aura of evil to those he thought themselves evil. They had no idea.

And the monster was smiling...
