Deck The Halls With Boughs of Holly (X-Men)
Christmas. Yule. Saturnalia. Dies Natalis Solis Invicti. Many cultures have celebrated and still celebrate a winter festival. There have been many names for it over the millennia. No matter the name it is a time to come together and celebrate with feasts and gifts with friends and loved ones.

Each culture has a legendary figure who would deliver gifts to children during this time. In Russia and some Slavic cultures he is known as Ded Moroz, Grandfather Frost, and comes not on Christmas but on New Year’s along with his granddaughter Snegurochka, or ‘”Snow Maiden”. In the United Kingdom and other parts of Europe he is known as Father Christmas. In the Netherlands and Belgium he is known as Saint Nicholas or “Sinterklaas” and in France he is known as Père Noël. In the United States we know him as Santa Claus.

No matter the name or who is delivering gifts, it is the season of peace, joy and togetherness. It is the season for thinking about loved ones, friends and those less fortunate. It is a time to witness the goodness and generosity the human race is capable of. It is a time for peace on Earth and goodwill toward man.

Cait loved Saturnalia and Christmas. It was one of her favorite times of the year and she loved making things for her friends and loved ones. Baskets of baked goods were made for each person and few got a small additional gift. For Sylvie she made a floor length pink (of course) skirt, Rachel got a similar one in green and Sasha got a blue one. For Misha she made a thick wool blue scarf and Fred got a red wool scarf.

Twerp Minor got a gift certificate to a store in the city that sold joke items and props and a get of out one random soaking. Twerp Minor got a container of garum (thanks to Irina's help), some shade grown chocolate and a donation to Heifer Foundation.

For the rest of the mansion residents Cait, with Aunt Ororo's help, covered the grounds in snow and ice statues.

Misha had his grab bags all ready for Christmas. For his wives and female friends, he had silver and white bags, decorated with snowflakes, held assortments of Godiva chocolates, movie tickets and a small charms of silver and colorful semi-precious gems. He also tucked in IOUs for dinners, rides into the city, gift cards to local stores, and promises to let them babysit Boo when it was his turn for visitations. The guys got movie tickets and gift cards, and IOUs for pizza delivery. As Princess Brat loved to remind him, he did have money. Spending it on other people was better than spending it on himself.

The recent residents received gift cards and movie tickets.

Dad got cases of his favorite imported beer. Mom her usual spa time and spring season tickets to the American Ballet Theatre at the Metropolitan Opera, along with the offer of an escort if she needed one.

Darlene picked out gifts for herself and Boo, and paid for them online with his credit card.

/Nobody/ got a free pass from a snowball down the back in the upcoming annual snowball battle.

Rachel was somewhat defective when it came to the shopping gene, but fortunately, only somewhat. In the end, though, giftcards were always the good bet.

Corey got a donation in his name to one of those charities where they buy and raise a farm animal for an African family and a book of organic recipes.

Cait and Sylvie got gift cards to the Salem Center Mall, as well and new Christmas sweaters.

For Misha, it was likewise a gift card to the mall, and promises to help with the car when needed.

Torn Ear and David got giftcards too (and possibly a yarn ball for Torn ear).

And Starbridge... well, there were the CDs of classical music, one of those big "History of the World" type books, and a scarf (because she was running out of ideas at that point).
