The Timebroker shakes his head sadly.
"Its not me erasing your memory. Its time. The threads that bind all the worlds together are reforging themselves. Millions who were born before... no longer exist. In some cases, other people take their place. A few events may have happened differently.
Even for the gods of Asgard... your mind would struggle to reconcile events. You need to only remember how things happened this time around, and forget the worlds as they were... which includes your memories of Jon's world.
Its not that I'm erasing your memories... its that I'm leaving an imprint of /everything/ I possibly can as a final gift from the world that was. You will remember a great warrior. He will appear in your dreams... and he may dream of you... that is the alteration I'm doing... otherwise conflict between two times, conflict between two sets of events... would threaten to drive you insane.
