Mikel sat in one of the executive offices and looked at the screen in front of him. Cancer had really outdone himself this time. The S.H.I.E.L.D. databases were filled with teraflops of information and it would have taken Mikel a few lifetimes to find all the information he needed. Not to mention get past all the security measures even though Mikel had access. He wouldn't put it past the old man to have extra security measures in place.

The gem of the information was everything a person wanted to know about the spandex set. Every power, every identity and every dirty little secret they were hiding. Mikel could use this information. It would make things easier. With the spandex set out of the way, he wouldn't have too much to worry about.

Carefully he went through each file. Making notes as he went.

Val was following the directions Libra gave her. She did seem to sleep a lot. She put on a smile for Nick and Dugan when they were together. Mikel's smug attitude demanded to be smacked off his face, but she was careful to be as accepting of the situation as the others were. The blond bimbo, as Libra called her, may have tried to brainwash her while she slept, but Val didn't feel any different. She nursed a hatred for Mikel that would have fried him in his boots if she allowed it to show.

They allowed her to go about her day as usual, which let her keep an eye on what Mikel was doing in regards to their files on what Nick like to call their troublemakers. Sensitive data in those files was available to only a few and only through her office so she was able to see which files were accessed. Mikel spending so much time with them was bad. It wouldn't be long before he realized they had the Black Widow and Tony Stark in Medical. If he had them brainwashed, it would be the beginning to a very bad time.

She made a casual trip down to Medical to see Tasha, and to check on the report of Mikhail's security detail. They'd been brought in unconscious, drugged by an unknown assailant. Until they were awake, they didn't know what happened or if Mikhail was all right thanks to an unusual information blackout surrounding the event. Val couldn't contact Logan about it. That would trigger a response from Mikel and then her activities would be restricted, or worse.

Tasha was quietly talking to her husband about the investigation into the car bomb and the findings so far. As of right now, there was nothing conclusive about who was responsible. They knew what type of bomb it was, how it was detonated, but no clue who had put it there.

Natasha's money was still on Tony's sister being behind the bomb. The timing was all too convenient.

"I've been keeping up with the reports," Val said. She moved toward the bed so she was standing within low voice range, using the excuse of looking at the monitors to get close. "And while I was here checking on a security detail that was brought in under mysterious circumstances, I thought I'd check here too. The rumor is that that we might be discharging the two of you soon." Her voice lowered a tiny bit. "Today, if possible."

	"Val? What's going on?" Natasha had to ask. There was no way in hell they would let Tony walk out of here in his current condition. The nanites were doing their job, but Tony still had a way to go and hadn't even started physical therapy for his arm and leg yet. Something was not right and Natasha didn't have a good feeling. Val smiled pleasantly. "Is there someone you can call to help you move Tony?" She moved from the monitor and made a show of straightening a tiny wrinkle in the sheet. "Mikel is in the building, Tasha. He put together a new Zodiac team and somehow managed to brainwash Sammy. She got him entrance and security codes. Nick and Dum Dum are brainwashed now as well. Mikel's searching through the computer data for information on the teams to use against them. You and Tony need to get out before he's told you're here."

"Warn the Fantastic Four and Xavier's people not to trust anything coming from SHIELD until the problem is resolved. You need to put the Avengers on alert. I'll have an orderly come in to help with Tony. The story will be that he's being transferred to a private hospital. Once you're out, don't come in no matter what message you're given. Do what you have to do, only...be careful with Sammy. She's following Mikel blindly thanks to the mutant Mikel is using to brainwash them. This isn't her fault. It's ours."

She met Tasha's eyes. "Tell Logan that the security detail that was brought in unconscious is Misha's, and Misha is off the grid. Mikel believes I'm brainwashed with the others, so I couldn't let anyone know. I don't know what happened to them. Logan can track him down while you warn the others and put them on guard."

	Natasha sent a quick text to Rhodey with the simple message of to be out front five minutes ago. "I'll call Logan once we're out of here," she said as she checked the various weapons she always carried. A pistol at her waist, one at her ankle and a knife at the small of her back.
