But the way you play your game ain't fair (Julian)
There. That had finished the business they were working on for now. Julian's posture was sifting as he looked ready to settle in for some private time. Time that Minnie wanted. Time that she wasn't sure she could get enough of, when soon she'd be beginning her "errands" with the LOHN in earnest.

But she had to tell him. She'd been reviewing her memories, and she had to tell him.

"Julian? I need to talk to you about Lisa."

"Of course, Julian. I could never keep something from you." A pause, as she steps beside his chair and sinks, setting her head against his knee. "I'm sorry I was a little awkward with her, but if she makes you happy, she's important."

"Let's just say we all could have handled it better, then," she says, nuzzling a little against his knee.

A long pause. "When... Running Errands with the LOHN, I'll need a last name." Minnie had always held with T.E. Lawrence that illegitimate children could go through whatever last names they wanted, if they so chose, and had never been comfortable with what her mother put on the birth certificate. So she picked and choose from a list on a whim. "One of the usual rotation, or should I make sure to use something new?"
