There. That had finished the business they were working on for now. Julian's posture was sifting as he looked ready to settle in for some private time. Time that Minnie wanted. Time that she wasn't sure she could get enough of, when soon she'd be beginning her "errands" with the LOHN in earnest.

But she had to tell him. She'd been reviewing her memories, and she had to tell him.

"Julian? I need to talk to you about Lisa."

	Julian looks up from his desk and takes off his reading glasses. He doesn't like any conversation that begins with those words, but he keeps up a smile for Minnie. "Are you two getting along well? She didn't...sample you again, did she?" Julian asks, hoping that Lisa hadn't gone against his wishes. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Julian shifts in his chair, thinking that over for a moment. Lisa's energy /did/ seem a bit different these days, but he was chalking that up to people changing. "Well, since I don't eat ice cream or sprinkles, I'll have to go with saying that I simply wrote it off to her doing what she has to do. She tastes different with each power she uses." he says. There's a hesitation, and she inwardly curses herself for wanting to make him promise to hold her a while before he goes rushing off to his Little Girlfriend when he hears this. She can't allow herself to be petty when Julian's happiness could be at stake.

"Yes, I figured she might. I could see your colors in her several times, and so many other sets, like thumbtacks in cloth. But thumbtacks leave holes. The other colors are too packed in. Her own energy field, as I look back on it, is fraying. It could affect her health. She might want to see a doctor." She doesn't look at Julian as she speaks. If he wants to leave immediately to find Lisa, or if he's disappointed that Minnie didn't figure this out sooner, she'd rather not see it in his eyes. She doesn't even consider the option that he might not believe her, though. She knows better than that.

	Julian listens to Minnie's words, knowing that if she saw this, there has to be something to it. She could have just as easily /not/ told him this if there was any issue with Lisa. It does not occur to him at all that she might make this up. "When was the first time you saw this, Minnie? Have you said anything to Lisa about it?" he asks. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"I've only seen her a few times. As I review her colors each time and contrast them with each other, it's progressing. And please don't think it's anything you did, Julian; I'm positive none of the abnormality is from feeding. Well, not your feeding. Have you even fed on her this week?" Minnie shoved silly hopes that she'd hear she'd been all the meal he needed.

"And no. I only figured it out this afternoon."

	"I....can't say that I have." Julian says, thinking over the past week. He hadn't fed on Lisa, of course, because he'd been feeding upon Minnie. He was going to need to space it out between the two of them. "I'll need to speak with her, but I'll wait until later. I'd rather not freak her out by demanding she come here now." Julian says. "Let's just say we all could have handled it better, then," she says, nuzzling a little against his knee.

A long pause. "When... Running Errands with the LOHN, I'll need a last name." Minnie had always held with T.E. Lawrence that illegitimate children could go through whatever last names they wanted, if they so chose, and had never been comfortable with what her mother put on the birth certificate. So she picked and choose from a list on a whim. "One of the usual rotation, or should I make sure to use something new?"

Lisa arrived at Julian's office, wearing sunglasses even though she was indoors. The headaches she'd been getting had been getting worse. They weren't migraines or hangovers, but now she had was getting light-sensitivity thrown in for good measure. Normally she'd look to Julian for a pleasant diversion, (in any number of ways), but he'd sounded... concerned.

When Julian got concerned, city maps and boards of directors changed. She knocked.

	In his own office, Julian had no fear of using his powers. He gestures, as the door unlocks and opens, seemingly of its own accord. "Lisa. How was your day?" Julian asks, his tone neutral. He had to keep it that way to avoid sounding as though he were worried in some way. He had to know what Lisa knew before he said anything further. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Lisa raises a hand in greeting to Minnie, replying to Julian "I've had better days... I..." She stops.

He's got his 'I'm in control of the situation. Trust me.' face on.

Lisa deliberates a bit. Minnie's there. The girl who possibly doesn't dislike her, but is certainly a semi-unknown at this point. Whatever she is though, she's solidly devoted to Julian. She'll give her the benefit of the doubt that she can keep things private.

She lets her guard down a bit, as was reserved only for Julian, until now.

"I think... I need to see a doctor."

"Are you in any pain?" Julian asks, sitting forward in his seat and looking her over. He doesn't seem /surprised/ but he is looking at Lisa a bit more intently right now. He wondered who was responsible for her being in pain. If he knew, Julian would find the bastard and drink him dry; he wouldn't even leave ashes.

He wonders if it was the man from the charity auction. He'd have to look into that.

"I can call someone to see you tonight, if you're okay with that." he says, rising from his desk.

She crosses the room and sits on his desk, as she's used to. Her usual posture of bringing one leg up over the other is absent, however.

"Not like you might be thinking." She clears her throat. "It's been going on for a while. I thought it was just stress from the Mutant Town situation making it worse, but that's been long enough ago..." She gives him a rundown of the symptoms she's been experiencing. Headaches, the light sensitivity, exhaustion, occasional nausea. She'd already ruled out the typical causes like partying too hard, food poisoning, or (in one particularly horrifying contemplating) a pregnancy scared.

She lets out a grunt, cursing under her breath. "I don't get on with the whole 'vulnerable' thing."

	Oh, sweet goddess, not pregnancy, please. Not yet. She couldn't bear to watch this girl become the mother of Julian's children yet. Maybe she could get better as time went on. Lisa gets the distinct feeling that, even if it's with genuine concerns, she's getting scolded.

"Probably once I had gotten some doctor to figure it out and tell me. It's only been the past week or two that it got in the way of anything."

'In the way' in this case meaning a shoot and a paid appearance for a club pushed back, and a lunch with her siblings she had to cancel (which she felt horrible about).

	Yes, he has to mildly scold her, because the other option is to be incoherently angry at her for keeping this from him, and Julian will not give himself to such temperamental outbursts. "Well, you're going to take some time off to get better, effective immediately." Julian says. "Visit your family, get out of town, but no working. None. Are we clear?" he asks.
