Canadian Winter (in June)
It was a risky move, but it had to be done. Shostakov was no friend to the royal family and if he was taken into government custody decades of work would be lost. If his comatose body could be grabbed by those who had the same interests, he could possibly be revived and work on the projects could resume. That 'son' of his knew what his father had been doing, but the kid didn't know half as much as his 'father'. No, they needed Shostakov and they had to get him before others did.

The warning was sent from a small internet cafe computer and bounced through two dozen different nodes around the world before it reached its destination in Canada. They had to be warned that the Russians were coming. Hopefully they would respond appropriately to the incursion into their land and during the conflict and chaos Shostakov could be taken out of there.

There were a lot of variables, but it would go as planned. It had to.

Thunderer gets knocked of his feet and for a few moment his concentration break causing the winds to briefly die down before picking back up again.

That was all he needed. Jordan hits the storm this time with a running start, putting his considerable weight and strength behind it, trying to get to Thunderer before his momentum is arrested again.

Jordan gets pretty close before Thunderer's winds start pushing him back again. Much to close for Thunderer's comfort.

Grrr, so close, and yet so far... Jordan's feet dig into the floor, hands reaching forward, pushed back until his feet dig in enough... a little progress forward, painfully slow, but he's determined not to let the windstorms win.

Thunderer was thinking fast about what he could do to keep this kid away and was starting to think maybe he needed to take a tactical retreat.

Jordan's uniform is torn up, his boots are long gone, he's covered in debris - but as usual, he keeps coming, digging in - ruining the stone floor, but progressing consistently, almost in reach now.

Thunderer wasn't going to let this little shit touch him. He wasn't a fan of flying but an air propelled jump backwards out of the building would do the trick and give him some more options to play with.

Damnit, so close. Jordan can be resourceful himself. Since he already mucked up a good section of the floor, he uproots a large chunk of stone, coming through the door fast and flinging the projectile at Thunderer.

The chunk of rock hit Thunderer before he can react to it knocking him hard to the ground and pining his arm to the ground. He creates a wind funnel around him to protect himself while he trying to come up with a way to free himself.

"I'm afraid I don't speak Russian, but I think 'you have a chance to surrender now' should come across. This isn't going to look good... maybe we can come up with something to limit the damage."

Thunder got the basics of what was said to him but there was no way he was going to surrender not now he could and wouldn't.

He might not have been allowed to use lethal force but he still could use scare tactics. With that in mind he says no in Russian before causing a thunderclap to fall right near by Jordan.

That he was not expecting. Jordan goes staggering back, trying to regain his bearings.

Yes take that you Canadian swine, Thunderer thinks as he sees his tactic works for now.

He starts working on getting the chunck off his arm but the work is slow going.

Jordan is pretty sure that letting the guy have any more time than the absolute minimu would be a really, really bad idea out here, so he tries to lean that direction, staggering towards Thunderer, trying to get within reach while he recovers his wits.

Thunderer was to busy still working on getting the rock off to notice Jordan getting closer to him.

He hopes the guy isn't superhumanly durable. He swings once, trying for a knockout blow under the chin.

Thunderer got the chunk of rock of his arm right as the blow hits him knocking him out cold.
