Svalin was stretched out on one of the large couches in the rec room of the main building and was trying hard to enjoy sitting still. Her feet and ankles had started to swell and her wife wasn't going to let her do much besides sit and put her feet up as much as she could. Svalin had tried to argue but it didn't get her anywhere except sitting on the couch with her feet up.

She sighed and looked at the television. To Kill a Mockingbird was on and Svalin was still waiting for the killing to start. Why was kill in the title if there was no killing in it? It didn't make much sense to her, but it was one of her wife's favorite movies and Svalin would watch it.

Svalin focused on the television and was surprised by the sudden kick. She gasped and reflexively put her hand on her stomach.

	That was reasonable. It /was/ Los Angeles. They were movie crazy. "We are," she assured him. "I'll get us back in-" Another scream interrupted her. She frowned. "That sounded a lot more real. I'll get us back after we find out what's going on. If it's a movie, maybe we can be unexpected extras. If it's not, you can stomp on somebody. You'll like that." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Titan thought, for a moment, that the whole chase was a set up and that he and Marlow really /had/ walked onto the set of a movie being filmed. Then he smelled the blood, actual blood, and Titan realized this wasn't a movie. "Marlow! We got real vamps here! Let's waste 'em!" Titan growls, rushing at the one attacking the woman. Marlow immediately called for handfuls of green blasting crystals. She sent them to various points around them and the vampire and woman to flush out any other vampires that might be in the area.

"Be careful!" she yelled at Titan's back. She readied a spell to blast the vampire once Titan managed to get them separated. It was more out of concern of what she might do to Titan than to the woman that she waited. If Titan went down, she would be facing the vampire and possibly more alone. Did demons like to eat vampires? If so, she knew where to send them for a snack.

	The vampire didn't see the attack coming. Titan grabbed him and the vampire struggled to break free. One green crystal hit him and he screamed when it hit. He wasn't the only vampire in the area. Some more came to the area and started attacking the movie goers. Among them was Lilith. "Where is she? Where is the one who holds the sun?" she hissed. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The shockwave caused Marlow to lose her footing. She fell back on her butt and hit the ground with both fists before chanting another spell. Glowing red chains flew from her hands to find the nearest vampires and wind them up. Two more Marlows appeared and moved off to distract where they could. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The first one went flying from the punch and went through a window of a nearby store. The others that were approaching were knocked down by the shockwave. Two were caught in Marlow's chains while the others started climbing to their feet. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Marlow climbed back to her feet and called for a glowing sword. It was a new spell, one she'd worked on to echo the sword training Svalin was giving her. Whether or not it would work was a gamble but she was determined to do her part. "We don't have all night so just kill them!" she yelled in Titan's direction. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	About six swarmed Titan all of them jumping on him and trying to bite through tough skin. The rest went for Marlow coming at her with fangs bared and ready to bite into soft flesh. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Titan growls and grunts in pain as the vampires bite him, fangs scoring his skin in some parts. Green blood wells from the cuts, but it doesn't have the taste of human blood. It probably tastes more like batter acid and motor oil together. He grabs two of the vampires and attempts to smash their heads together with his unnatural strength. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Marlow didn't have Hulk-tough skin, but the first bites tearing into her flesh activated the shield around her and made her scream before she choked it off. She used the brief second of alarm it caused to call for a deadlier spell.

"Watch your eyes!" she yelled at Titan. "We're going to give them a sun!" Marshaling for her reserves, and the demon rider still inside her, she chanted the spell for the light of seven suns.

	There was loud crack as the two heads collided and it was followed by a sickening squishing sound as the two heads were mashed together. The vampires were still moving, though it was mostly flailing. When Marlow's spell took effect the vampires started smoldering and screaming. A few caught on fire. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Titan reaches out to strike a flaming vampire with a meaty fist, even as another bites into his shoulder.

"ARRRGH!" he yells, trying to reach for the annoying bloodsucker. He tries several times, but can't seem to get a hand on the little bugger.

"Magic Babe, duck!" Titan yells.

Then he simply leans back and falls upon the vampire upon his back with his massive bulk.

	Nobody yelled 'TIMBER!' Marlow heard the yell and looked up. She uttered a word that she'd only heard the gardeners say and ran for the nearest cover, a tree. She peered around it, the bloody wounds forgotten while she watched Titan squish a vampire. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Titan stands up from the crushed vampire, noting that it is still squirming after having been fallen upon. He fixes that my driving his large boot into the general area of the bloodsuckers head and chest. "I know Bill Compton, sir. And you are NO Bill Compton!" Titan yells. 	Marlow sank to the ground, drained from the unaccustomed sun spell. All around them were heaps of burning vampires. They didn't smell a thing like chicken. She watched Titan finish of the wiggling vampire and readied another spell just in case. He was having such a good time. It was nice to see him enjoy their date night so much.
